JEWNR 19(0) 27-35, 2008 |
ABSTRACT
Consumer behavior pattern can be divided into three : Just looking around with purchase intentions, and looking for specific product with purchasing intention. For all three behavior patterns. We could consider POP as a very important element to promote consumer`s interests into next level. But many companies fail to manage POP successfully causing low confidence and lost opportunities due to non-strategic approach. We cannot stop this vicious circle of failure unless we take the consumer`s standpoint. What do they see? What are their to have consumer`s point of view. In this essay, I analyzed what composition a store should have in priority, and where to break down the composition to expose stages to byild the basis for the right product. We could define it as "POP Hierarchy" is a marketing terminology which means "class" or "grade" with vertical expression. Converting this meaning by strategic design, it could be "the priority of POP with consumer`s standpoint"

Therefore, the central government`s symbol marks as visual language will be performed of semiotic analysis, formative symbolic analysis, a semantic interpretation, and motive analysis arranging common argument by using graphic design system`s spatial positioning, form, color, etc, then applied of 3 forms of possible world. ABSTRACT
The space design marketing of consumers` benefit space like a construction company`s housing and culture center which comes into the spotlight lately leads consumers to experience cultures by means of displaying the space-goods for sale and supplying the space for aggressive introduction of cultural programs. The housing and culture center has an influence on promoting corporate image and brand image. In accordance with the strategic goal emphasizing CI and BI at once, the space design marketing should lead the center to be a single building for having a singular position in a long term. The space design marketing of consumers` benefit space, which makes CI and BI to be the space, is effective on the promotion of corporate image, brand recognition and networking with consumers. The selection of an architect who is the main body of design is very important, because making the cultural space, causing experiences in creative space and becoming landmarks of the architecture work as an essential part of the design.

JEWNR 19(0) 83-92, 2008 |
ABSTRACT
Human behavior, expression and adaptation are a result of brain analysis based on all the data received from external environment. Out of all the external data received, the information received by the visual sense is approximately 80%, the auditory sense is approximately 15% and only 5% are from other senses. Therefore, there are more researches done on the visual related processes than any other senses. Normal people can identify 10 million types of colors however, Once the ageing process begins it causes the eye lens to become yellow causing yellowed eye sight; this leads to the ability to recognize different colors reduce drastically. According to a research in Japan, 29.24% of people aged 70 or more carries this "yellowed eye sight phenomenon." The disturbance in the eyes caused by ageing will have the equal amount of impact on the human behavior. Korea has became an ageing society with 7.2% or more population containing people aged 65 or more in year 2000; and in the year 2018, Korea will become an aged society with the aged population estimated percentage increasing to 14.3% or more. This research is significant because quitea few Korean populations can misrecognize the impression of colors delivered by color design. This manuscript carries a purpose to seek a way for alternative colors to reduce visual misrecognition and misinterpretation caused by ageing. This research found problems caused to aging and direction for resolution. Also, through this research, we have found people with yellowed eye sight phenomenon are distinctively different from normal people in their ability to recognize visual colors and the feelings and images. In addition, the improvements on the yellowed eye sight phenomenon were brought to the result with the consideration of the characteristics colors hold. These results can be applied to elderly related facilities and color design plans. For further research, the specific study on color image map for the people who have Yellowing Phenomenon is needed and it will be required to activate deeper study considering the condition of light.

Study on the Metamorphosis found in the Connection Between Animation and Surrealist Painting
|
김재원 Kim Jae-won |
JEWNR 19(0) 93-105, 2008 |
ABSTRACT
The development of science based machinery endowed mankind with material wealth, and people, free from the issue of making their livelihoods, came to concentrate on the cultural aspect of life. This led to the birth of the art of the age of mass media, the pop culture. From this point of view, the role of motion pictures as a form of pop culture, and the role of movies(animated films) as a form of visual art is bound to receive attention from the public. The art of animation not only expands the scope of an artist`s expression but combines the various formative aspects and modes of expression of the arts and also expands the surrealistic boundaries of human thought as well. The art of animation is the most effective form of expression when it comes to expressing the subconscious or surreal aspects of the human mind, or the inner world of the human psyche. On one hand, efforts to visually realize the inner world of people, such as animation, can also be found in surrealism, a popular art form in the early 20th century. Just like animation artists, surrealist artists focused more on the essence of the inner psyche of people rather than reality, and possessed the same desire to express such visually in order to create a hyper reality, and went on to utilize the methodology of classical painting to realize these desires. The artists of surrealism, through such methods of expression, focused on imagination surpassing the limits of human experience and the liberation of suppressed desires, as well as rationalism as their main theme. The mode of expression utilized by these artists allowed the viewers to experience visual fantasies, and this can be equated with the art of animation. As such, the purpose of this dissertation is to connect the surrealist movement, which was a large scale artistic movement of the 20th century, with the art of animation. The effect floating from unconscious level is common used in the method of Automatism theory. The metamorphosis, which is one of the most important method of the theory, connects visual image-so called "transformation"- with animation and surrealism paints, and it gives a grant to make the subjectivity of author`s expression shaped and to symbolize the concrete image of surrealism with esthetical, visually, and plastic meaning.

JEWNR 19(0) 107-122, 2008 |
ABSTRACT
This study focuses on the design factors of resistance in the adaption process of PDA through the ZMET, an in-depth interview technique for metaphor. The results of the study are as follows. 1) There are three factors such as function, emotion and design in the recognition of PDA. These are summarized to concepts such as secretary, puppy and accessory. 2) There are adaption factors and resistance factors in the adaption process of PDA. Functional factors are an accuracy of information and a privacy. Emotional factors are a feeling of satisfaction and comfort. Design factors are an expression of individuality, a user-friendly interface and mobility. These results mean that design factors play a important role in the adaption process of PDA as a fashion or individuality icon. It is necessary to reflect the design factors in the development of the future information device for the promotion of adaption.
