A study on the semiotic possible world of symbol mark in the central government ministries and offices

Abstract
A symbol mark is a symbol comprehending classification of the organization and identification by implication, and performs roles of discourse to persuade and inspire the public or visual text rather than simple function of indication. A symbol mark has its own aesthetic function ostensive function, but at the same time, its function as a symbol belonging to its social and cultural world is more important. With symbol marks of the central government`s 18 ministries as central figure in the relation, could one image secure narration as a visual language? If so, this study is to positively describe what accessibility is there by introducing semiotic approach. Also, this study is to analyze not only extensive meanings of indicating function, but roles of symbol and metaphor indicating intensive meanings based on formative code and iconic code with approaches on semiotic structure rather than philosophical aspect of these symbol marks. Therefore, the central government`s symbol marks as visual language will be performed of semiotic analysis, formative symbolic analysis, a semantic interpretation, and motive analysis arranging common argument by using graphic design system`s spatial positioning, form, color, etc, then applied of 3 forms of possible world. Through the series of researches, this study is to clarify the point that symbol mark is the live substance among the public by complementing iconic and linguistic crux of the central government`s symbol mark image.
