ABSTRACT
Contemporaries in the 21st century are exposed to diseased stress feeling anxiety, fear, suppression etc. in the unstable social phenomena, economic panic, pain of era pursuing only material, contradictory life of social policy to pursue welfare. In the midst of quickly changing society, contemporaries find themselves to seek self in world of sense and unconsciousness rather than reason and consciousness.
Under this background, this study proceeded with work to seek image from surrealism among flow of history of fine arts analyzing poems of Yi Sang who experienced similar life as contemporaries under Japanese colony in 1930s. This trial aims to getting right eye to see contemporary era through events which put behind as a history of the past in the midst of social phenomenon where our visual culture changes.
Identification process of poetic world of Yi Sang and visual expression about illusion image in the midst of surrealism cannot be put aside as subjective thoughts of the author - Yi Sang sublimed agony of dark era about anxiety of late 19th century and uncertain future of early 20th century into his own unique poetic language.
Sympathy can be sought from present excessive industrial development, rapid scientific development, difficulty of obtaining food, economic depression, natural disaster, excessive limitless competition, melancholy, diseased stress etc.
As he faced collapse of identity of reasonable self and experienced disorder, Ogamdo of Yi Sang says about psychological experiences of newness and anxiety of appearance of unfamiliar one through excessive exposure of new civilization in 1930s. This study intends to draw image from paintings of surrealism by interpreting text of `poem No. the 11th` and `poem No. the 13th` among Ogamdo. This could provide flexible thinking to understand literature and pictures, and diversity of vision to see present era by inducing positive reading through visual image of poems.

Color change based on lower chroma of poster colors

ABSTRACT
`Color-mixing specialists` who are professionals in mixing colors have been working in the industrial fields for a long time and `naked eye-oriented color-mixing` has been part of the certification test to be a `colorist (industrial)` conducted by Human Resources Development Service of Korea since 2002.
Adjustment of chroma through naked eye-oriented color-mixing is based on mixing chromatic and achromatic colors, and beginners have often failed in choosing the right colors of colorants, since they are unaware that colors tend to change as chroma changes.
For example, when mixing colors of 1GY~5GY, beginners usually fail by selecting light green. It is because they are not aware that mixture of lemon yellow and achromatic colors result in light green, although they should choose lemon yellow while mixing colors of 1GY~5GY.
Therefore, this study is aimed at allowing color-mixing beginners and colorist test-takers to choose accurate colors with naked eyes by presenting color changes based on reduction in chroma (desaturation) and helping them to predict them.
In order to validate the experimental results, a survey was done on 124 design majors who were taking chromatology as to whether the degree of color changes based on desaturation affect their color selection while mixing colors, and they were less likely to choose correct colors as the color changes became greater.
Hopefully. this study will allow color-mixing beginners and colorist test-takers to choose correct colors while mixing colors with naked eyes, by presenting colors that greatly change in accordance with chroma and helping them to be aware of them.

Development of Hanbok Jeogori Patterns for Preschool Obese Girls

ABSTRACT
Korea`s obesity problem has become a serious social issue, as the country is already a child obesity country globally, with one out of seven elementary, middle and high school students suffering from obesity. Psychological problems also arise, among those children, due to their negative physical appearances, and studies are actively conducted for obese child clothing, which supplement the body type problems from the aspect of obesity. In the field of Korean clothing components, however, few studies have been reported yet, resulting in the difficulties in manufacturing Korean clothing suitable for the current obese child body types. This study aims at presenting hanbok jeogori patterns with excellent physical suitability for obese girls, and thus providing the data necessary for niche markets of ready-made Korean clothing for children.
As for the study method, two comparison patterns were selected, leading to the preparation of two kinds of hanbok jeogori with jeogori length of 28cm, and study patterns were presented after wearing evaluations were completed.
According to the study results, in the appearance evaluations, both of two comparison patterns got low points in front part, which led to the revised designing of B/4+2.5cm for Front Body Girth and B/4+2cm for Back Body Girth for the production of study patterns. The width of Front Sup was set at the collar width+2cm, while sleeve length was equally divided into 3 parts and strip line was drawn in sharp curve as sleeve width and Berae Line change significantly along with the fashion trend. Godae width of B/10+ 1cm and Godae depth of 2cm were set and armhole part was allowed flexibly large, and collar head point was put at the 3-equal division point, rather than at the 2-equal division point, from armhole circumference, with a view to improving the fitness of collar length and neck covering.
The study is considered to help the enhancement in the suitability of jeogori for obese girls, and further studies are encouraged for the development of jeogori patterns with applications of skirt waistband, joggi waist, and western jacket patterns.

ABSTRACT
Through a lot of research for a long time, the importance of design in the company`s business activities have been identified, In recent years, by enlargement of coverage area from corporate to industrial, socio-cultural, political area, design perform important functions and roles in almost area of society. Nevertheless, It is not properly described in the function or role of design in each area of these societies system. In these circumstances, requires the introduction of the concept that it is comprehensive to accommodate the enlarged area, role or function of the design in each area can be interpreted as a general principle. Such a concept is a systemic design. This study is an exploratory research conducted for the purpose of define the theoretical backgrounds and concept, propose research issues of systemic design in the early stages.
Systemic design illuminated from the perspective of system theory and contingency theory is defined as a series of design knowledge system for ultimately improve the efficiency of the system through design is recognized as a factor or resource of specific system such as society, industry, company, and organization, and improvement of the function and role of design and relations between design and another factors in the system. Segmentation of range, development of variables, scientific investigation, logical verification, and integration of the results of is presented for research problems.

ABSTRACT
An analysis of Yi Snag`s texts from the perspective of design enables it to find the diversity of visual expression in the texts and have a new understanding of his abstruse poetic texts that look to be difficult and complex, which will in turn excite the imagination of readers. This attempt is a task to be accomplished in design filed emphasizing creative imagination. Texts function as the image of a written language and thus is closely associated with the critical function of the modern design that stimulates the emotion of recipients.
I could find a corelation in Yi Sang` poem during an attempt to understand his unique writing mode on the basis of an overall understanding of his literature and investigate the characteristics of his literature through a theoretical study on Cubis. I analogized the designical thoughts inherent in the texts on the basis of “AU MAGASIN DE NOUVEAUTES” in Yi Sang`s poem of “Architecture Infinite Cube” in which a shift of cubism that has greatly influenced the modern design.
The purpose of this study is to identify the coexistence of texts and visual expression in an interdependent relationship and draw the meaning of a wide range of symbols and signs connoted in texts through an analysis of his texts in order to broaden my thoughts and have flexible thoughts crossing over between literature and art.

Usage and Design Preferences of Dining Home Fashion

ABSTRACT
In developing dining home fashion, research on consumers` usage and design preference provides important guidelines for the development of consumer-centric product designs and the future directions of product development. This study is to examine consumers` usage of dining home fashion and design preference in order to provide basic data for product development of dining home fashion. To this end, a survey was conducted by a questionnaire about the usage and design preference of dining home fashion, and participated by 417 women aged 25 to 59.
As for their use of tables, more respondents said that they use glass or a dining table as it is, than dining home fashion, like table cloth, top cloth or table runners. Older respondents tended to use dining home fashion more frequently and have more items than younger people. Reasons that people do not use dining home fashion are, in the order of, 1) little needs for them, 2) difficulty in cleaning and maintenance, 3) no match with home interior design and 4) expensive prices. As for key considerations when purchasing dining home fashion, there was little difference between age groups, but younger people tended to put less value on brands and trends than older groups did. As for design preference, natural textile and cotton-blended textile were most preferred, and water-proof materials were highly preferred for aprons, table cloth, personal placemats and pot stands.

Syncapse Corporation, a company of analyze cocial media, has investigated the economic value of facebook fanpage with 4,000 people in North America indicated that a fan of fanpage has higher preference of brand and royalty than Therefore, the value of a fan in fanpage estimates $136.38 per year.(DMC Media Marketing, Team 2010)
Samsung Research Institute for Economy expect the social power effect will be widely increased in overseas top 10 trend of 2012 and SNS will be tremendously growth.
Facebook which is elevates utilization as a new marketing communication of SNS is quickly come out social marketing channel with various contents and communication with customer. Accordingly, this research would provide the effective contents constitution of company facebook and operation strategy by analyzing fanpage contents of company in facebook which is the most popular utilization of SNS.

A Study on the Development of Wallpaper Design for Children Using the Factors of Experience Design

ABSTRACT
As contraction of wallpaper market due to the recent national economic depression and excessive competition between wallpaper manufacturers, domestic wallpaper design field has faced a variety of problems. Compounding the problem, consumer`s living standard has been improved and also their pursuing value has been changed at the same time. Therefore, it has been demanding that former conception of the product design and their purpose should be changed in a more appropriate way.
In the wide range of design fields, many companies have been researching and developing products using brand new design methods to keep pace whit those consumer`s transvaluation and experience design is the one of those approaches. Designs and products using factors of experience design have already been proved its usefulness not only in domestic design field but also around the world. However, it is the fact that the utilization and study are insufficient in the internal textile design area.
In this study which started with those timely problems, the elements of experience design method are used to develop textile pattern design, particularly in wallpaper pattern design sector. Especially it was based on Kids marketing because it was considered suitable as the way to revive a stagnant market and increase sales efficiently. Thus, the provisional target consumer of this study was limited for children. In addition to this, the study developed and suggested designs referring to classification of experience design for young children to be more methodical and concrete.
As a result of the research and design experiments, four wallpaper designs was created and each design was planned to satisfy the aforementioned classification such as sense-cognitive learning type, action-cognitive learning type, sense-emotion evoking type, and action-emotion evoking type respectively. While conducting this study, it was revealed that the existing process of wallpaper manufacturing possesses a limit in generating various experiences, but it was also clear that it can be solved by using diverse functional inks and different ways of print. However it is not simple and easy to assess whether a product can stimulate participation or not, so that it is required to establish firm criteria for experience design and necessary to bring out the conception and categorization of it distinctly in continuous research.

Planning and Development of the Four Devas (四天王) Characters Items with Storytelling Applied

ABSTRACT
With storytelling applied, the study has planned and developed traditional culture items by combining an IT device with culture and a story. In order to achieve the study goal, a smart-phone case and accessories have been manufactured with the Four Devas characters applied, which are a Korean traditional cultural material.
At present, people use a smart-phone to enjoy functions of a conventional cell phone and a personal computer as they keep personal information and other important data in the smart-phone. In consideration of the fact, with the traditional guardians transformed into another guardians of the smart-phone of these times, a story has been created in which those guardians would protect both personal information kept in the smart-phone and the phone itself.
As a protection guardian of the smart-phone as well as a kind of ambassador to promote Korean tradition culture, the Four Devas characters have been given different characteristics from each other, and finally, a character manual has been completed. After that, a case and accessories for the smart-phone based on those Four Devas characters have been manufactured in consideration of characteristics, shapes and colors of the characters.
What the study has accomplished will play a medium that would propose any original, visualized models for a Korean cultural content appealing to foreigners and tourists while it honors Korean traditional culture. In the future, it is expected that those Four Devas characters will be used for developing of various cultural items.

Social Network Games(SNG) Playing Factors

ABSTRACT
The social network games(SNG) are rapidly growing in the game industry since it is introduced with social network services based on social network platform. The concept of SNG is combining the meaning of social, network, and game. This paper reviews the definition and the characteristics of SNG from the previous studies and derives the factors of playing SNG from the analyses of importance order for SNG playing factors using AHP in the models suggested by the recent studies. The social character of SNG is the more critical factor than game character. The result shows the importance of SNG playing factors in the order of social bonding - interactivity - use of time - fun and its most critical factor is the enforcement of social bonding. This study implies that the social character of SNG is acts the most decisive role for playing.
