This study is an empirical research on how to assign weights to the design elements affecting smartphone users` design satisfaction. Based on the findings of previous studies, identify design elements, and method using regression coefficients is presented as a way to determine the weights of the design elements. First was to identify design factors affecting satisfaction in the design through regression analysis, design elements were assigned weights by using the regression coefficients. Smartphone users recognizes the importance of formativity, satisfaction, identity, environmental friendliness, ease of use, compatibility, and finality, finality, and economics in order. These results shows some elements to be more immersive does in the design development. And weights of plasticity is the highest compared to any other element even in the case of the state-of-the-art IT products is significant implications.

We are currently living in a society where digital technology is impacting the overall society and increased concern resulting from industrialization-led environmental problems and concern about naturalism is very high. This social trend has created a new paradigm of digital naturalism combining naturalistic thought and digital technology in the area of design. The purpose of this study is in analyzing formative features of plant plankton which is the motive of naturalism and digital naturalism fashion and also in developing and manufacturing digital naturalism fashion design utilizing Lenticular Motion - Graphics. The followings are the results of this study; The composition and development of digital naturalism fashion design is that in all design, polygonal silhouette of plant plankton was formatively transformed and on its surface polygonal incision is expressed in a straight line making the images of plankton to be conceived. The straight line polygonal incision can be said to be a design composition which express to the characteristics of soft lenticular sheet. For pattern and color, the pictures which were painted with digital color painted on the plankton`s optical microscope pictures were cited and it was digitally printed applying the lenticular flip technique. Accordingly the geometrical pattern and abstract images by graphic effects could express very well the dynamic effect and the dramatic reverse of images and the changeable characteristics of digital naturalism fashion by Lenticular flip techniques. The texture of soft Lenticular sheet materials, compared to hard texture, are very flexible and sewing is possible, and on its surface there are delicate and repetitive straight line holes and it is glossy. From these features it is understood that the beautiful pattern of plankton can be mystically expressed.

This study attempts to create various fashion items with the result of analysis on formativeness of Hyojae Munjado. For this study, Hyojae Munjado was chosen as the cultural original and advanced research was carried out to analyze its formativeness through the documentary survey and study of artifacts. This study found out that Hyojae Munjado has natural beauty. It is antique chirography and has each character`s symbol as patterns. Hyojae Munjado also has refined beauty. Patterns are placed inside and outside of a letter nicely to emphasize the letter. It uses light coloring technique and Jeju`s Munjado has three or four sections. Not only that, it has realistic beauty. It shows the characters directly, presents landscape, and portays animalsas as well as plants realistically. Moreover it has abstract beauty. Based on yin and yang theory, it arranges colors of win-win relations harmoniously. In Jeju and the Northwest of the Korean peninsula, Hyojae Munjado includes shamanism. The best feature of Hyojae Munjado is that its elements are in harmony with natural beauty, refined beauty, realistic beauty and abstract beauty.

Recently the issue of global fast fashion brand has emerged as one of the most critical areas for fashion marketing management. Despite strong interests in the subject, there is little evidence of how brand loyalty is created by marketing mix elements and what their effects are. This study explores the influences of marketing mix elements on the brand loyalty of fast fashion. Based on a literature review, a conceptual model for the product design, quality, accessary, price, brand, store, service, advertisement, promotion and brand loyalty on consumers` view was formulated and tested. For comparative purposes, two global fast fashion brands are tested, one is Zara and the other is Uniqlo. The subjects were 485 Korean women in their 20s living in Seoul. Results showed that brand loyalty of fast fashion brand is affected by design, quality, brand, price, and advertisements. Therefore Marketers should develop the core element to position its brand strategy to create competitive advantages.

As participatory design(PD) has been activated in overall fields of society and culture, the importance of tools that facilitate the communications among the different stakeholder groups has been emphasized so far. The purpose of this study is to get improvement methods through comparing the communication tools supporting the PD in environmental projects by using systematic frameworks. Total 24 cases including 12 analogue tools and 12 digital tools were chosen as targets of content analysis. The results analyzed from the case studies showed that analogue and digital tools were used to express the different spaces, and digital tools supported the more variety level of participation. As a result, analogue tools need to be selected depending on users characteristics, and to be considered using digital tools partially. Digital tools need to be developed diversely and to be applied to most updated visualization technology. This study is expected to be used as a base for promotion of creative development and utilization of tools.

With the growing cultural interest in design, as well as industrial interest, products using traditional patterns are being actively developed. The aim of this study is at this time to develop interior goods using apricot flower pattern among traditional patterns. The material used here is felt and the product selected is the decorated mat. The arrangement of pattern was placed regularly or irregularly for each product and the various laser-cutting technique were used. While pre-existing products mainly used the cut-cut technique among laser-cutting techniques, various techniques were used in combination in this study to get more diverse effects. Unlike other fabrics, felt has a advantage of unwinding when the laser-cutting technique is used. Therefore, outlines of products can vary and the pattern can be used itself as the shape of the product. Engraving technique was the more effective way to make small and delicate patterns. Also the utilization of complex techniques in this study made it possible to create products with multi-layering effects. The result of survey revealed that consumers preferred the product with circular layout the most among circular, linear and irregularly scattering pattern. In terms of cutting technique, consumers showed the preference to kiss-cut technique for the product with circular layout, the mixed technique between cut-cut and kiss-cut technique for the product with linear layout, and cut-cut technique for the product with irregularly scattering layout respectively.

The purpose of this study is to find strong theoretical basis of arts-based education that influence organizations and the society by identifying meanings of exchange and interaction between art and business that become more active in the age of vagueness and uncertainty and inquiring recent overseas studies on effects and functions of educationally connecting corporate and art. Nowadays, in the reality of knowledge economy, fragmental and reactive corporate education is facing the controversy of being no use, and new progressive ideas were suggested to achieve high standard innovation and accomplishment. Also, in order to complement existing methods, arts-based education gained attention. Even with increased interest and field cases, relating theory is not completely constructed. Therefore, it is appropriate and timely to define educational connection between corporate and art and to expect the future of such education through overall understanding of recent study trend. In this study, previous studies on benefits from arts-based leaning were analyzed in 3 categories: function to improve work capabilities of members, function to contribute to improving creative power of the organization with innovative ideas, and function for members to share values and to make senses to accomplish their purposes. These functions do not mutually exclude others, and they play cyclical roles to step closer to the fundamental goal of the organization. Also, in this study, an arts-based education model that shows individual capability improvement extending out inside the organization is analyzed to identify elements that lead to `spill-over effect` and cumulative evolution of the whole organization.

This paper is to identifies how design characteristics of on-line shopping malls such as contents, structure have on effect on emotionally based satisfaction and trust about on-line shopping mall, and which in turn has influences on revisit intention, and then explains causal relation among variables. A survey study was conducted to collect the data with consumers who have experience purchase or search on on-line shopping malls. Analysis of structural equation modeling with AMOS 16.0 and SPSS 18.0 was performed to test the research hypothesis. The results of the study are as follows: It was found that contents of on-line shopping mall has influences on trust about on-line shopping mall but structures of on-line shopping mall has an effect on emotionally based satisfaction. Emotionally based satisfaction have effect on both trust about on-line shopping mall and revisit intention, and trust about on-line shopping mall has influences on revisit intention. While on the other, there are no impact on relation between contents of on-line shopping mall and emotionally based satisfaction and between structure of on-line shopping mall and trust about on-line shopping mall.

In the recent media environment that is rapidly changing, the appearance of SNS, the third generation media, based on Web 2.0 has extended the opportunities of expression and communication. SNS communication is not just used for simple text-based mutual communication but also actively uses the emoticons and now the types of emoticons have become diversified including graphics, animations, photos, and even movies. Thereupon, to analyze the design of diversified emoticons, this study conducts theoretical consideration on SNS and chiefly examines the types of applications and mobile messengers and also the representative mobile messenger. This studies emotion as the emotional design of KakaoTalk and also the types and characteristics of emoticon, the compound of emotion and icon. And among the emoticons, the study analyzes convergence showing the highest frequency of use regarding the expression of design in the aspects of the complex elements and the themes of moving, expression types, and also the effects of expression. According to the result of analyzing the convergent design of KakaoTalk, first, complex elements mainly consist of illustrations and typography as the mainstream and complementing elements. Second, regarding the themes of moving that enhance an emoticon`s impact, most of them are the certain parts of a person or the recognizing aspects of typography. Third, the expression types for conception or abstraction are mostly the simplified semi abstract form. And the expression effects of originality or playfulness are partly expressed in design, but it is hard to find visual pun factors. Based on this study, it will be needed to continue study for the design quality of emoticon such as research on user preference or recognition on convergence emoticon.

As one of Jeju Haeyeo culture contents projects, the purpose of this study is to suggest a new method to develop the Fashion Accessory applied construction of traditional Swimsuit worn by Jeju female divers known as Haeyeo. Jeju Haeyeos are represented as an image of the diligent and strong woman. With such an image, they have became the symbol of Jeju female. Furthermore, Jeju Haeyeo culture will be rebranded. The Jeju female divers wore special swimsuit (Mul-jocksam(물적삼) and Mul-sojungii(물소중이) when harvesting the various sea products. The Mul-sojungii was buttoned down the right side so that it could be easily removed. Therefore, it is to review the bag design for effective item using the original or modified folding technique of Mul-sojungii, and to develop design of the bags of the Korean image by using folding technique of Mul-sojungii which is one of the unique, indigenous patterns of Jeju.
