ABSTRACT
The book has been undergoing changes in the Internet-based digital area. Compared to paper books with pictures and texts, the eBook, by nature, has a platform which combines all the elements of digital contents such as pictures, texts, sound, and video. Considering the eBook is a new type of digital device, research on editorial design needs to take a different approach from research on paper books. Users when in contact with the media, `familiarity` is an important variable that should be considered. In addition, the content that is utilized is the effect of user`s attitude and the distance between users and devices. This study redefines the concept of editorial design for eBooks emphasizing it as an extended model of print media, and further examines the newly expanded perspective of formative elements.
As a result, 1. depending on the content of the information considering the flow of the user`s gaze, you must configure the layout. 2. Typography affect the size of the letters, but the big difference in the form of letters could be seen. 3. Improve the quality of the screen enables realistic icons or graphics. Showed that users prefer that the image or gradations in the color.
Was used as the Tablet PC devices, leading users to take advantage of the eBook. And limited to the eBook novels, magazines, cartoons, news, etc., a limit had to say. It is hoped that continuous research on eBooks taking into account the changes in digital media as well as the user`s psychological state and experiences will take place.

ABSTRACT
Between mathematical theory and plasticity of paintings, the relationship of a degree of association has been found in many of the recent researches. These discovery is the basis that enabling scientific analysis about paintings. In this paper, we analyzed paintings using the fractal dimension among these theories. The fractal dimension is a tool to measure the coarseness and complexity of object`s texture. For experiments, we measured with four painter and 47 images per painter by using the fractal dimension. Throughout experimental results, we could confirm the existence of difference among painters. And we also could confirm the chronological dimension`s movement of each painter. The research results which were analyzed by scientific methods are valuable because they have enough potential for being used in various fields.

ABSTRACT
As information exchange between each different field upon development of communication technology gets frequent, the 21st century fashion field variously shows the products of multi-purpose in aspect of materials and designs due to convergence phenomenon that happened between areas. It is expected that the tendency of developing in multi-functional and multi-purpose fashion products like this will be continued in 21st century in which digital technology development is done vigorously by high technology. The products, which produced by engrafting smart materials developed, technology or specific finality into fashion, make us use them more conveniently by making technical environment put close to human body. Also it provides basic idea for creation of creative and aesthetic expression. The convergence of fashion and technology makes us enjoy the most comfortable technology environment, and it is taking its stand as a driving force of creating a new type of beauty. Thus this Study intended to provide the idea in development of combined fashion design which will be spread in the future as well as the material for searching development direction. As a result, I could classify the phenomenon of convergence into 4 kinds, and analyze in comparison of each convergence phenomenon before and after 21st century.

ABSTRACT
The aim of this study is to extract and to compare local colors of Jeungdo and Cheongsando which are slow city islands in Korea those have common resources and to provide landscape color planning direction for sustainable slow city`s landscape. Jeungdo and Cheongsando have equal or similar environmental conditions but in the last analysis they show certainly different local colors and landscape colors by own`s representative endemism.
Jeungdo has arranged cool and wide prospect view that is harmonious by same or similar combination of grayish YR and chroma contrast combination of achromatic colors of wall, floor with primary color B. From now on Jeungdo`s landscape color planning and manage have to comply with the ranges of existing color environment.
Cheongsando is a slow city island containing diversity of landscape so it shows different landscape color from Jeungdo. There are two types of color harmony and coloration. In other words, those are chroma and hue contrast combination of achromatic colors and roof`s primary color of YR, B and harmonious similar tone combination of middle brightness, middle chroma of G to YR ranges. JEWNR 38(0) 333-344, 2013 |
ABSTRACT
I, the researcher, considered the way of Fire Extinguisher design to increase responsiveness on the initial fire. First of all, a survey was carried out in the general adult users for conducting research. The survey was divided into the contents on the recognition of the fire extinguisher, the general requirements and improvement, and it was carried out to be classified on the basis of the results. I`ve been supported by the review of the literature, fire fighting practitioners and the material, technical support of experts in the course of this study. Summarizing the results of classified study:
First, to strengthen the convenience and promptness by adopting built-in power touch-type remote control for one touch control panel.
Second, add a brief description of easy-to-understand on the pressure gauge and to increase accessibility for fire extinguishers.
Third, a variety of colors can be applied to seek the harmony with the building and to feel a sense of intimacy by moving away from the red color.
Fourth, they should be adopted in the walls or choosing the type designed with the smooth flow of human traffic.
Fifth, the glass fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) is made a proposal as the materials for the main body of the fire extinguisher.
Finally, the design should be reinforced the accessibility and usability compared to the common user facility and women will also be included in the category of fire vulnerable facilities.
If the results of above study could be reflected in the progress of a new fire extinguisher design, it can contribute to reduce the damage of life and property due to fire.
