A Study on the Differencial City Image by the Visual Image of the Waterfront

ABSTRACT
Historically cities have been formed and developed in the areas where water is found nearby. This confirms water is of freat importance to human life. It actually ensures physical and psychological safety and helps humans achieve development. In advanced countries, areas near water in cities and waterfront have long been utilized since an effective development of those areas brought about cultural and economical development. So more and more cities along the coast or river or lake in Korea are making plans of developing the waterfront or already implementing those plans. However, they tend to consider the waterfront simply as a lakeshore and seashore in terms of the comprehensive city plan, and there are few cases that they create facilities from environmentally aesthetic point of view. This needs to be changed. This study analyzes and compares development cases in advanced countries and situations in Korea by actually visiting sites and studying related documents. The research found that an attempt to create aesthetics reflecting the `image of water` utilizing structures in the waterfont, street furniture, sign system, lighting facilities and public facilities and others can contribute to the municipal development as well. Furthermore, development of waterfront is a very important element in making cities function properly. And at the same time it can contribute to creating a clean and comfortable environment for people. A city developed on a lakefront can have a very good image, which can in turn help people achieve further development in terms of culture and tourism. An effective development of waterfront can be an opportunity to enhance the quality of life of the people living in the city since it can be an important tool to improve surrounding environment.

ABSTRACT
Every consumer, purchaser and buyer as well as a company and a producer has holded the advanced technology and skills of a cpmpany in common in the society of information like today. So, we are at the point of time When the new concept of funtion of a package design needs to be adjusted to a consumer, a producer and a businessman who circulates in the state of things of equalized technolgy. various good of a company and keen competition of a lot of goods form all parts of the world. This is why The pakage design is accepted as the value of a powerful medium which satisfies all sorts of circumstances and desires in present. The modern package design is important as not only the protection of a product but also the sales tactics of a product. The problem to decide a customer`s interest and mind among the products the same kind i. e. the problem of the package as communication is the problem of the package as communication is the right problem to achieve the purpose of a successful sale,. The essence of making people feel a mental and physical response comes from the subtle difference of communication, which is an essential element of the package to influence a marketing greatly. These days, the package design to satisfy a diversified and characteristic consumer`s desire should make a study of the protection of visual communication going beyond the fundamental faculty of the protection of a product. The quality of the material of a package or the form and the structure of package and the color of a package. Etc among the elements of a package design which have an abosolute effect on communication, are the powerful and arranged messages to intend to tell a diverse and fussy customer. In conclusion, the package design as communication is the complicated collection of the symbols.(Whether they are graphics or not) Which interact with a consumer`s intricate mental process. So, I believe that the communication of each consumer and a package design would become the successful package design as communication only through the sufficient knowledge and well-rounded database about the most essential elements which are accomplished by a reciprocal action.

ABSTRACT
Recently the markets for the regional special products about agricultural and marine products in Korea oen the era of direct production. distribution and consumption, and it reaches to the competition for brand image because the quality and kinds of products become high-quality and diversity. As a result, the importance of packing design becomes larger. In addition, the global markets make the efficiency of regional special products maximize by finding out globalism from original national culture each and by developing original design with nationality being highlighted of identity different from other cultures. For this, it needs the development of packing design that symbolizes the image of traditional cultural inheritance in Korea and makes use of it in a modern style. This study is to arrange the concept of traditional pattern and the possibility of visual development in the design and to analyse harmony with the packing design of agricultural and marine products and the traditional pattern in Korea. Also it is to present the direction for the identity and originality of agricultural and marine products packing design in the southern western sea and to solve the problems about design that raise a value added of products and promote the sales in the global markets. And there is significant meaning in offering the basic data for original and Koreanized packing design and the image development and the study that raises a value added of special products because this study is to develop the agricultural and marine products packing design in the southern western sea using Korean traditional pattern centered on the visual formative arts as the object of study.

A Stuuy on Optical Composition factor in Web Design

ABSTRACT
Internet has so much effects on society, culture and economy as well as the simple basic function of imformation transmission as a new media. It`s also called a new media forming new culture and view for value. This is because why the web design is being progressed over and over again beyond a basic level. The general characteristics of the opticalcomposition factor for web design are as follows. First, the express on typographic in web should be emphasized on a shape of picture designed in screen as well as the simple function of literal information. Second, the illusteration and picture in web must be fully considered suitable for a situation of image and data for the purpose of stable using for users. Third, dynamic screen and animation in web should be showed to a distince and direct transmission measures not a plane image. Fourth, link icon in web, a composition factor causing users` behavouring factors, is also required optical simplicity, clearness and consistency. Fifth, color in web is required optical beauty and the easy information transmission. Sixth, banner advertizement in web is required a distinction mking available a basic purpose of information transmission and image for publicity. The various optical composition factors above mentioned, all have optical power and also exert optical one each other in web site. Besides, it required a catch of opticl and mental needs and also a study on the characteristics of the mutual communication nd helps. A high quality and exact information is important, but above all, a harmonious and resonable web design of optical composition users` needs is considered the most suitable new media of all the transmission ones.

ABSTRACT
Today, it has been already gotten into the situation of unlimited competition for our society in the village of the earth to transcend time and space, and absoiutely valuable surplus of the indutsrial design is gathering strength. Then, our government searches for lots of method to promote the indutsrial design. The indurstrial design can do create profits from minimum five times over to maximum twenty times approximately rather than it invests to technology and making. I made a research about the reaction analysis according to classification of design development way. taking design, relationship of design & corporate management and a project to assist design development of KIDP for small and medium manufacturing enterprises in Kyunggi-do in this paper. In conclusion, I tried to suggest some alternative plans against the facts inclusively after analysing problems that they have.

The background of evolution has been changed, whith was maintained after the time on the creation of the earth. Up to now, all of animals including human being have conformed to the survival of the fittest that only the winners can survive and the failures will die out by fighting with the visible foes. However the evolution has in the 21th century. There have been the three revolution in human history that are the Agricultural Revolution began 9000 years ago, the Industrial Revolution started 250 years ago. and the Digital1) Revolution broke out in 1990s. Now, the digital is the cause of the beginning evolution to make a change in everything. This book, 「The Design Research in the Digital Media Time」, refers to Korea which has suffered national dishonor emergency ahead of 21th century. It may be a warning to give notice that we should be prepare for the 21th. During last half a century, Korean diligence brought up `the miracles on the Han River` envious of the world where burnt to the ground by the aggression of the Japanese Empire and the Korea War. Under the strained slogan of `Live in Affluence` we a ccomplished remarkable economic development as the 10th trading country in the world`s level with empty hands. Unfortunately, our remarkable work of years has been being spoiled. This research intends to fine the answer for what made the work of years spoiled. Refer to the following for the prosecutors closing argument on the purpose of this research. First of all, the Design is a mirror of the times. The Design is culture and daily life in itself. Therefore the Design names goods with smarts ideas which have different energy. Secondly, what is the reason that the Korean Design isn`t competitive on the world market? Basically this book deals with `Visions and Growth Strategies of Our Design Industry` and government policies about what the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy has recently reported what is the problem of the Korean Design? Thirdly, the direction of the Design and the vision of the Design industry in the digital media times are explained on the basis of the media data and research materials in domestic and foreign papers. Lastly, as a counterproposal to the design, the Designer is Venture Corporate. An acknowledged authority on the knowledge management, Perter Dreker`s theory adds to the Design. Because the Design is an idea industry for customers and times to come.

Appearance of WWW(World wide Web) is not only to scale up range of internet users but also in changes people is life style. Web market has over 5∼6billion marketability. Therefore web has great potential power of huge benefit. Information provider morrys about how to show the information effectiely. For the maximum accessibility to the information consistently, that is, dfficiency of information struction promotes user`s accesibility, and it builds the structure to transmit information they want. Besides the most fundamental factor of user interface on the web is the systematigation of contents. Unless the structure of information and contents is systematic, user world fall info disorder though it has great design. Therefore even it there`s information in the site they need, they can`t find if easily. Another important factor is graphical user interface. When user clicks button, they expect feed back of information. For instance when user roll-over mouse wheel, it happens to change of image in the monitor and interactive commumnication such things are GUI. GUI(Graphical User Interface) shows data to user, makes user to choose or leads user`s action. And GUI also offers information scheme and design. In the report tried tofind a solution to maximize accessibilty to information on the web and put the main point to consider structure of information on the web under understanting of interface.
