Instructional Guidelines for Teaching Oral and Written Presentation for the Interior Design Major Students

ABSTRACT
Background Oral and written presentation skills are important elements of professional standards in interior design related major and are increasingly emphasized in various fields of study in the college education environment. This study explores the course development of oral and written presentation to be applied in the framework of interior design curriculum.
Methods Content analysis and qualitative case study were used for literature review and course development.
Result Instructional guidelines are presented with course contents, instructional strategies, and evaluation criteria according to the types of presentation skills required in executing different phases of work expectations. Specific project types suggested in this study are: 1)production of print materials for flyers and hand-outs, 2)preparing documents for work report, 3)writing newspaper review, 4)introduction of space with different perspectives of narrater, 5)presentation of project proposal, 6)client interview, and 7)group discussion in the format of team meeting, panel and round table.
Conclusion Comparative studies in different class settings and operation of the course in conjunction with studio and professional practice courses are recommended for further study. Also, applying the course according to different levels of grades will enhance overall educational outcomes.

ABSTRACT
Background This study deals with the Perspectives on the Image of South Korea as a Nation, Attitudes toward Korean Cosmetics, and Purchasing Intentions among Chinese female undergraduate students and seeks to comprehensively handle the existing results, which have been studied individually.
Methods In order to identify the structural relations, a survey was carried out, intended for 937 Chinese female undergraduate students. And then the survey data was analyzed using AMOS 22.0 and SPSS 22.0.
Result The findings are in the following: First, korean country image, cosmetics product image, cosmetics product attitude excercised direct & indirect influence on cosmetics purchasing intention.
Conclusion The findings are in the following: First, korean country image, cosmetics product image, cosmetics product attitude excercised direct influence on cosmetics purchasing intention. Second, korean country image has an indirect effect on cosmetics product attitude through cosmetics product image. cosmetics product image exercises an indirect effect on purchasing intention through cosmetics product attitude. Third, korean country image has an indirect effect on purchasing intention through cosmetics product image, cosmetics product attitude. cosmetics product image exercises an indirect effect on purchasing intention through cosmetics product attitude.

A study on guidelines of outdoor board sign for the urban environment innovation - Focused on Incheon Metropolitan -

ABSTRACT
Background For composing urban environment, outdoor board sign is a key element in the beauty of urban image frame and urban space. Recently, Incheon has been hosting various international events that focused on New Town (Songdo, Youngjong, Chungra) which is a Free Economic Zone. It is changing rapidly.
Methods This study has investigated in the examples of British, Japanese, French cases which developed earlier and utilized well. I have researched design elements (letters, colors, frame) approach for various foreign outdoor board signs that is the guideline method on the urban architecture of Incheon.
Also I have looked into the utilization method and effects on LED sign which appears as a new sign medium, and I tried to make an image of local landscape.
Result Through the urban environment and outdoor board sign by the theoretical perspective and design contemporary analysis with foreign and local examples. Outdoor board signs should include a planning board in the case of architecture blue print.
And the designer must supervise from the first design suggestion to the last stage of completion.
Conclusion I made a fundamental guideline suggestion of outdoor board sign for a pleasant urban environment. Afterward, I expect this study provides an urban information easily which conducive to the innovation of urban environment for the global city Incheon.
