ABSTRACT
Background Since the mid-20th century, the development of digital technology has led the Fourth industrial revolution including Computers, the Internet, AR/VR, Metaverse, and AI, and brought new environments and changes in various fields. Recently, in the midst of the pandemic, there was a need for Media Conversion using digital technology for emotional communication in the field of Print Media. Recently, during the Pandemic, there has been a growing need for a transition in the Print Media industry, which is based on emotional communication, to apply digital technology. This has led to various attempts in fields such as Moving Posters, AR content, and Digital Publishing to enhance Visual appeal and effective information delivery. Among them, the expression 'movement' called 'movement' plays a major role in the reproduction of moving posters that form plot structures and deliver information by giving time to the limited and flat space of traditional print media Recently, with the development of various content platforms, Moving Posters have become more popularized and shared. However, academic research on this is still insufficient. Accordingly, this paper analyzes the Animation elements of the ‘movement’ expression that has recently appeared in Graphic Design in response to changes in platforms that everyone can easily access outside of time and space, and proposes a prototype by identifying the ‘untapped domains’.
Methods It theoretically explores technological development and platform changes from an evolutionary perspective of Media, and investigates the use of ‘motion’ expression elements in the field of Graphic Design. After that, the concept of the Moving Poster, the current trend, unused fields, and ‘movement’ elements are analyzed. In addition, a preliminary survey is conducted to identify the needs of users. By integrally modifying/complementing the pre-survey and extracted ‘movement’ elements, new ‘movement’ elements are derived and re-established for applied to prototypes of Picture Book Moving Posters and verify objectivity through expert preference surveys. The scope of the study is AR Picture Books [Little Bear Mur] and [Are you scared of the dark?] selected by identifying unused fields.
Result In order to develop a prototype of the Picture Book Moving Poster, this paper used the cover design of two Picture Books. Moving Posters were produced by selecting three final drafts for each Picture Book’s contents and Design Concept. In addition, through a preference survey of four experts focusing on the attention, information delivery, and efficiency of the Moving Poster, Plan A was finally selected as [Little Bear Mur] and Plan C was selected as [Are you scared of the dark?]. And each Moving Poster was developed around 5s and 10s looping motions.
Conclusion The results of the study can be summarized into the following three. First, this paper classified changes in content platforms from a media evolutionary perspective into periods of Analog and Digital Revolutions. Second, a Moving Poster’s interface design prototype in an unused field was proposed by extracting the current status and movement elements of domestic Moving Poster. Third, new movement elements were derived by identifying the needs of users. The extracted elements consist of Visual Extension elements (2D, 3D, Video), Temporal and Spatial Extension elements (Scene Conversion, Plot Structure, Motion time), and Auditory Extension elements (Background Music, Sound Effects). The limitation of the study is that the user's response test process was not included.

ABSTRACT
Background With the extension of the average human lifespan, the global senior population is on the rise. Consequently, the incidence of traffic accidents involving senior pedestrians is also on the rise. Senior pedestrians represent over 50% of all pedestrian fatalities in pedestrian traffic accident deaths, due to slower walking speed and difficulties in quick evasion during emergencies. In this context, the study aimed to prevent traffic accidents among seniors by developing safety-oriented clothing for senior pedestrians.
Methods To create protective clothing aimed at preventing traffic accidents among senior pedestrians, the study first examined the current state of traffic accidents involving seniors, as well as present safety measures for seniors. The study then designed clothing based on factors relevant to seniors and incorporated the LilyPad Arduino and LEDs. For traffic accident prevention, the study devised a selection of colors for the LEDs and their arrangement to enhance visibility in the dark.
Result The manufacturing of clothing for seniors incorporated the principles of universal design, considering their slower movements and diminished senses due to aging. The clothing, made of knit fabric, is easy to wear and doesn’t restrict movement, providing added warmth for the wearer. Concerning LED colors, the study selected and attached colors with high visual sensitivity and distinguishability when driving, producing protective clothing that's both easy for seniors to wear and noticeable while walking.
Conclusion The development of protective clothing fitted with the LilyPad Arduino and LEDs, intended for the safety of seniors, not only aids in preventing traffic accidents, but also signifies the potential for expanding clothing design for seniors in anticipation of the upcoming super-aged society. Furthermore, the entire process from a design proposal for the safety of seniors to attaching the LilyPad Arduino and LEDs can serve as educational content for design and digital technology convergence for fashion majors.

JEWNR 80(0) 303-318, 2023 |
ABSTRACT
Background The rapidly changing social environment and the development of media make it possible for us to deliver information in various ways and encounter different forms of information content. However, it is not important to provide only the data results to the information user, there is a growing need for information visualization to comprehend the overall context of the information. Accordingly, this study aims to establish an information visualization system through research cases conducted in the information design curriculum to derive information visualization considering the overall context.
Methods This study examined the overall theoretical system on information literacy, the concept of narrative, and metaphors in order to approach efficient information visualization in the overall context. Based on the analysis tool prepared to examine the information visualization system applying the concept of narrative, the cases of infographic poster design developed in the researcher's curriculum were analyzed by dividing them into communication and design aspects.
Result To derive information visualization applying the concept of narrative, the approach and expression method of information must be applied differently depending on the content of information, the characteristics of media, and the type of message. It was confirmed that the effectiveness of information visualization can be influenced by how the narrative is applied, which metaphoric medium is selected, and how various contents and visual elements are combined with the overall narrative plot.
Conclusion Information visualization applying the concept of narrative enabled an approach to information visualization considering the context surrounding the information itself based upon the ability to explore, select, arrange, utilize, and synthesize information.
