A Study on the Evaluation Method of SNS`s Service Design for Its Improvement

Abstract
The number of SNS users is likely to increase rapidly in the future. This research is to see is how to improve evaluation methods of SNS`s service design by analyzing the users` responses in a survey. Among many SNS services, Kakao Talk, Facebook, and Band are chosen to find, through a positive analysis, effective evaluation methods. Hopefully the evaluation methods can suggest how to make SNS`s service design better. The results of the research are as follows: First, in the area of interface, Kakao Talk`s average score is 3.80 which is considerably higher than those of Facebook(3.25) and Band(2.99). Probably it is because Kakao Talk has an advantage in treating emotional relations among people, such as making friends, chatting, closing unwanted relations, giving gifts and permitting. Second, in terms of user rules the levels of users` satisfaction is as follows: Kakao Talk(3.80), Facebook(3.13), Band(3.02). Similarly, Kakao Talk socres best in the area of user convenience. So, the factors may account for why Kakao Talk can be successful in a short period of time and how it can attract many users. Third, in light of visual composition, Kakao Talk also scores best(3.55), but Facebook(3.51) and Band(3.24) are not very far behind. It seems that SNS users are not very sensitive to the services`visual composition.
