Abstract |
Recently, the smart phone market has been expanded enormously. The target of smart phone was business-oriented, but the target has been expanded toward younger and silver generation. The goal of this research is to investigate latent needs of 20-30s user group that has a potential to be main users in the future. In order to achieve this goal, 45 participants were recruited and their needs have been elicited through qualitative research methods. Their behaviors and statements have been collected through observation and interview. By the results, 558 user needs have been interpreted. 52 main needs and 8 theme has been drawn through card sorting method. Finally, a format of idea note integrating persona and scenario method has been suggested in order to develop application concepts in an user-centered way. This research will be used as a foundational reference for understanding target user and developing concepts by incorporating the target user for smart phone application development. |
