| Abstract |
| This study investigated implicative visualization of narratives by systematically reviewing on sentiments pervaded in title sequence and the following types and meanings of spatial expression. In fact, formative designs have not drawn much attention despite remarkable advances of title sequence as one of motion graphic fields. Thus, this study analyzed title sequence cases from 62 films produced in the past two decades based on literatures regarding stories, formative parts and images. Six types of spaces and expression features of five narrative groups were consequently found. The significance of the paper is on that it demonstrated the meanings and roles of space focusing on expression methods which imply narratives, and gave suggestions for its application. In the perspective, it is expected to contribute to the methodology for conveying symbolic expressions of narrative space and meanings. |
