Abstract |
The image of a city is created by the combination of historical culture and today`s construction. The identity of a city includes it`s history, culture and citizen`s spirit. Nowadays, many cities are reorganizing commercial and public space to create it`s own identities. In public space, there are many construction works such as making oasis in downtown, creating vibrant street, designing street furnitures and compiling a guideline that includes height limit of buildings, hoarding restriction, materials and colours of buildings, distance between buildings and shape of ground floor. In these background, this study will investigate the importance of landscape lightings for city identity and analyse city marketing. Especially, for the way of build up city identity and apply it as a tool for find out real `Seoul`, this study will propose the hierarchy of landscape lightings. |
