| Abstract |
| In recent, research on art paintings draws attention on the basis of advance of IT technology and concerns about increasement of cultural contents. Especially, the research results which were analyzed by scientific methods are valuable because they have enough potential for being used in various fields. The impressionist tended to give great priority to the light and color. Therefore, the impressionist style of painting had been analyzed by methods which emphasize dominant color and brightness of images. This paper tried to suggest the valuable results of scientific analysis in this point of view. Also we extract concrete expressions from their color of the paintings which were influenced and characterized by the dominant color by using emotional adjectives. Through this experiment, we could confirm the correspondence of results between our scientific analysis and the existing humanistic analysis in the field of impressionist paintings.
