Abstract |
The purpose of this study was to suggest how to develop the platform of a digital art appreciation textbook by introducing a spatial concept of an art museum in an effort to provide appreciation education by utilizing a virtual experience space.
Traditionally, art education has been conducted by focusing on appreciating and experiencing in some uniform spaces like an art gallery, museum and movie theater. Such a conventional awareness of art spaces made it possible to construct the platform of a digital textbook in a more natural and organic manner. In this study, a digital textbook platform was suggested by introducing a new learning strategy and visual experience conception in a move to heighten virtual experience and learning immersion.
There has lately been a growing concern and demand for art works, and art appreciation that had just been viewed as the sphere of experts draws growing public attention. This study is expected to serve as an opportunity to respond to such a social need and have a better understanding of mankind and diverse human culture. |
