이봉녀 Lee Bong-nyeo
Abstract
The paradigm of art education is being changed along with the change of times. Especially, the importance of appreciation education is being highlighted even more in the art education so that an effective art appreciation education method which is helpful for improving creativity of children has been studied and practiced on a continuous basis. To meet the needs of this change, this study is trying to consider a curriculum which is being applied in Japan to derive its suggestions in order to search for plans to make improvement on the problems that are created because the activities on the field of appreciation is lacking while the elementary school art curriculum of our country is leaned toward the expression activity. Accordingly, the `art appreciation method by interaction` which is being adopted to elementary schools in Japan at this time as one type of effective art appreciation method is introduced and also based on analyzed results of researching and practicing it on a continuous basis for 10 years, we are trying to present the `appreciation education by interaction `Appreciation Education by Interaction: The Practical Guidebook for Pottery Art Teachers` as a practical material of education scenes in our country. For the practical materials, the Aesthetic Stage Theory of Abigail Housen and VTS (Visual Thinking Strategies) instruction methods that had become a theoretic background of appreciation method is discussed first while the new `primary school study guidance method` announced by Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology which had become an opportunity to accelerate in the research and practice of interactive fine appreciation education within Japan is discussed second. For the `Interactive Art Appreciation Method` to be applied in school art curriculum of our country, a practical plan for practice is necessary. Accordingly, what methods of practice are required for the `Interactive Art Appreciation Method` to satisfy the requirements on objectives and details of school art curriculum as well as being applied to our country will be discussed through the investigation of `Appreciation Education by Interaction: The Practical Guidebook for Pottery Art Teachers` which is being applied to elementary school fine art curriculum of Japan at this time. First, the contents are reorganized to be appropriate for educational scenes in our country through data analysis. Second, the contents must be diffused to frontline schools by being developed and produced as appreciation instruction materials through art education related research institutes. Third, because art is not entirely taught by full time art teachers in elementary schools due to the its nature of education, the education targeting teachers must precede for a satisfactory performance of education. Thus, the problems that can be created at the scene of practice would have to be improved and developed through a continuous process of research by a faster practice in elementary school fine art education scenes of our country.
