Abstract |
After World War II and during the 1960s, the buildup of industrialization took place and brought with it rapid economic growth and mass production. With it came rapid changes in society such as popularization in fashion and the bold appearance of a younger generation. Op Art and Pop Art had a lot of influence on fashion and there has been development of various textile design expression through the exploitation of synthetic fiber and its new composition that took place in the mid 20th century. Through the documentary records and the analysis of the art works, this study focuses on the development of the textile pattern design and the effectiveness of fancy colors and the motive of the diverse images that had a lot of influence in the 1960s as well as optical illusion which is the characteristic of the formative Op art which were to be applied to modern fashion. The development of artworks was done through simulation of computer graphics(2D,3D) and textile CAD and presented potentialities of the new concept textile design. Revitalization of creative design development by the national textile industry is expected through the continuos research of the textile pattern design. |
