Abstract
For the last 170 years photography have been widely discussed in the field of art generating countless aesthetic debates. It has acquired its status as a new media from the perspective of objective reality, confronting the traditional painting. It has done its function of representing the reality based on reproduction technology. In the age of digital reproduction, however, it needs to be more widely discussed. One of the most important features of digital photography would be easier image transformation. Image transformation itself is not a new idea, of course. It has been used as a way of expressing the artist`s ideas or political propaganda. In the era of digital reproduction, however, it heads into new directions. First, its easier manipulation leads to much images variability. In addition, since the subjects of image production have varied, objectivity of photography can not be trusted. Now photography boldly reveal the falsehood and relish immeasurable imagination and the pleasure of transformation. Thanks to the Internet, it can also communicate with innumerable viewers.
