Background In order to derive basic data that can help creative thinking in design ideas for ‘romantic’, we examined the characteristics of associative words for romantic image words and associative words for romantic fashion.
Methods This study conducted content analysis in parallel with statistical analysis. Frequency analysis was used to examine the characteristics of associative words for romantic image words and romantic fashion. The centrality and core keywords of each meaning were identified through word cloud technique, and the relationship between associative words was examined through correlation analysis.
Result The associative words for romantic image words were highlighted by abstract and emotional words such as ‘love’, ‘pink’, ‘romance’, and ‘lover’, and ‘pink’ showed a relatively close correlation with other abstract associative words and emerged as the most core keyword expressing romanticism. The associative words for romantic fashion showed differences by type, and words expressing images such as ‘cute’, ‘gorgeous’, ‘elegant’, ‘feminine’, and ‘lovely’ were found to be central.
Conclusion The association vocabulary for romantic image words was analyzed to have a direction focused on romanticism. The association vocabulary for romantic fashion was shown to be a mixture and mix of romantic and various images and styles, allowing us to examine the mixing and mixing trend of various art styles and images in 21st century fashion. The above study is meaningful in expanding the category of ideas required for design creation on romantic themes. |
