| Background The Goryeo Buddhist painting is the most beautiful painting in the world. There have been many studies on the colors of Goryeo Buddhist paintings. But there are many traditional color studies. This researcher intends to analyze and study colors from a design perspective. This study analyzes the color of Goryeo Buddhist paintings, confirms their characteristics and color sensibility, and produces content to be used.
Methods Investigate the concept of Goryeo Buddhist painting, the characteristics and meaning of the Buddha Triad. Twenty-four Goryeo Buddhist paintings will be selected for the study. K.S.C.A color analysis, I.R.I adjective image scale analysis, and KS color system color-related image analysis are conducted to find colors that match the image of the Buddha Triad
Result As a result of conducting K.S.C.A color analysis, similar results were found in I.R.I analysis based on discoloration during I.R.I adjective image analysis. Images related to the hue of the KS color system except for the discolored background color showed similar results to the adjective image of the Buddhist scriptures. The resulting color classification and Amitabha Buddha can be extracted in scarlet, orange, white for the Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, light blue, green for the Jijang Bodhisattva, and dark green.
Conclusion When classifying color associations, there is a lot to do with images of Buddhist scriptures and the nature of icons. We produced a design product that can be used as the representative color of each image extracted from this study. It is expected that the scope of planning and utilization of color emotional design will be expanded when producing Buddhist cultural products and Buddhist cultural contents |
