| Background As the number of people with disabilities continues to increase in Korea, and the demand for people with disabilities who need clothes is also increasing. The purpose of this study is to contribute to vitalizing the development of clothing for the disabled in Korea by collecting domestic study on the development of clothing for the disabled and analyzing them in 4 areas.
Methods A total of 36 studies were included from 2012 to December 2021 and through the two process for screening, 5 studies were finally selected for review.
Result The results were divided into 4 areas: body type, considerations, improvement points, and design. First, as for the clothing body type, the upper extremities was the most normal body type (A), and the lower extremities was the most thick waist type (B). Second, among the considerations when purchasing clothes, it was found that, in terms of functionality and practicality, most considers the convenience of putting on and taking off, and in terms of esthetic, most considers the coverage of the disability area. Third, among the clothes improvement points, the most complaints about the jacket length for the upper and the length of the pants for the lower were the most. And the most common opinions were that the upper part was sleeve length and the lower part was Pants length as the part that needed repair. Fourth, among the clothing designs, the most preferred was the achromatic color, the adjustment location design was the front adjustment, the fastening design was a button, and the finishing design was nothing.
Conclusion This study is meaningful in that it was able to analyze and grasp studies related to the development of clothing for the disabled, and it will be used as basic data for study related to the development of clothing for the disabled. |
