Background The aim of this study is to examine viewer preference according to the step-by-step motion blur application based on vector graphics at high-speed frame rates and to provide a guide to the application of appropriate motion blur to producers.
Methods Expression vector graphics techniques corresponding to five guinea pigs were based on basic motion to produce an image motion of five and to create 15 images with motion blur to classify the three steps. From the first to third guinea pig, we derived their preference using the subjects set to step 7.
Result 'Grow / Shrink' and 'Spin' with a relatively narrow range of motion of applied space were found to be preferred when the motion blur standard was strong at 3. 'Motion Path', 'Point At', and 'Throw' with relatively wide range of motion applied space were found to be preferred when the motion blur standard was 3.
Conclusion There is a difference in preference according to the five motions corresponding to the basic motion and the range of spaces to which the motion is applied. Through the results of this study, future research intends to provide a production guide for the application of motion blur based on vector graphics. |
