Change of Clothing Shape Depending on the amount of Shirring using a 3D Virtual Wear System

abstract
Background The neckline is an important part of determining the impression of the face, and this study focuses on the neckline as a variable that can change the silhouette and shape of clothes. Fashion designers create creative designs by creating new clothes that have never been before with novel ideas or by transforming and applying traditional techniques. Methods A variation of the amount of shearing of the neckline was dimensioned and applied with a 3D virtual wearing system to attempt 4 steps of deformation. Result it was founded that the increase in the amount of shearing of the neckline is a variable that affects the shape of the clothes, the silhouette and the closeness of the clothes to the human body. In addition, the silhouette of the garment became a loose silhouette from the fit to the A line, and the inside of the garment was formed with the drape extending toward the chest and sleeves, and the inner line was formed. Conclusion This study studied the apparel composition to apply the shirring technique to the neckline and use it as a creative fashion design, and the research method utilized the CLO Virtual Fashion program to realize the 3D dressing system.
