| This research observes the works of the surrealists and suggests the possibilities of applying such spiritual nature that transcend time into making both creative and distinctive fashion images. After such examination, expressions of surrealism is applied to fashion by unsuitable elements, distortions by modifications of the shape, and optical illusion created by the visual deception method. As far as the combination of arts that represents techniques of different expressions in the past, surrealism came along and offered new possibilities in developing creative designs. Surrealism pursed general perceptions by revealing the world of unconsciousness through human liberation. Through the paintings of surrealist artists, creative ideas of the modern fashion have been suggested and there was a possibility of applying the combination of such paintings and design into making both unique and creative fashion images. The modern fashion is constantly being affected by surrealistic influence and expression methods and surrealistic fashion is expected to develop as high-value fashion that satisfy individuality and aesthetic appeal. |
