ABSTRACT
Everyone has sentimental memory in respective childhood or time of the past. With the nostalgia on the childhood or past that could not be returned from the difficult situation has the vague expectation on the enrichment of sensitivity to fill the human desire with dreaming and memorizing the splendid past and stimulating the desire in unconsciousness, the there are frequent emergence of renaissance design to look back into the sensitivity of the past. Through the renaissance, for contemporary people who have fear for changes and longing for old things under the complicated social structure, this virtual subject realizes the invisible past in reality to form the subject image of "I" and have the sentimental message delivered to life to find some time of tranquility and find the identity that becomes more blur. The cause of sentiment that grants the value on forgotten existence with the stimulation of nostalgia in the time of youth starts from the desire when having the identity for self expression, and the past sensitivity has not been shared of same time as it re-illuminate in contemporary view but as it reflects me on the instinct to go back on the past time as parent generation want to stimulate the homogeneity as the desire of others becomes my own desire. However, remembering of the past without realizing reality as renaissance is overly emphasized seems like a resurrection to inscribed the past into reality but if it gives uncertainty of time due to the mistaken error, it would rather lose bigger self-ego and causes the failure to adapt in reality that renaissance would be the medium for communication to narrow the gap between generations and realizing the lost reality of the past that cannot be existed in reality.

A Study on Korean Film Website Design

ABSTRACT
Today, the South Korean cinema is successfully settled as the center of the South Korean popular culture with the significant development of both quality and quantity of its production. Having faced the onslaught of Hollywood as other national cinema industries, the higher share of the South Korean cinema is emphasized as a rare phenomenon internationally.
As the growth of the South Korean cinema industry, it creates an infinite competition followed by rushing in making its unique website as marketing tool for each movie in the film market. In today, the promotional website for the South Korean cinema is capable of expanding one`s dimension or aspect and perception. Furthermore, it has expanded emotion and senses through providing varied film information, sensitive concept, storytelling, and visual design to the netizen.
As a result, the expansion of sensation and space brings changes on the netizen`s thoughts and the media itself followed by the netizen`s tendency of identifying the real to virtual world and offline to online. According to these changes, the netizen can be so easily put themselves into cyber experience space through the promotional film website creating distinctive experience and impression by combining both individual`s mental picture and the cinema as the popular culture throughout the internet. Then it functions a circulation of sensation and experience over the film website.
Therefore, the promotional film website should be recognized as unified organic body consisted of the various information and sensibility. Furthermore, it should have a distinctive characteristic in order to communicate with the netizen. Namely, the website must be understood as a sensitive cyber experience space where people meet various media and culture. Also, it must be accompanied the development of the promotional film website with a concept and property accordingly.
In this paper, the South Korean film website consisting of its visual elements of layout and interface and emotional characteristics of film concepts and storytelling by analyzing a reasonable design approach of the website, should promote the film in creating successful harmony of the cultural characteristics and the individual images for its continuation of primary position.

The Relationship between relationship between level and using of digital technology and design performances

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study is to understand the relationship between level and using of digital technology and design performances. Firstly, a pilot test has been conducted with a panel of 35 experts from academicians and design practitioners. Based on the pilot test, a questionnaire survey has been conducted with 346 designers or product developer in order to test the relationship between level and using of digital technology and design performances. The results are as follows: First, level of digital technology is positively associated with the results of design development. Second, level of digital technology is positively associated with the design evaluation. Third, using of digital technology is positively associated with the results of design development. Forth, using of digital technology is positively associated with the design evaluation. Based on these findings, implication of the research findings were discussed.

ABSTRACT
As the human-centered product design has been emphasized as one of differentiated marketing factors, the products developed with the factors related to human characteristics are on an upward tried. Current development for the human-centered products is based on PPP(product performance program)and UD(universal design)cases, but the products often results in being highly expensive so that a few of customers benefit from them. To achieve less expensive UD products, the initial stage of the product development needs to include value engineering (VE)that provides analysis tools for UD functions and their costs. This study presents UD development process integrated with VE.

Material-Imagination of Bachelard and Design Creativity

ABSTRACT
Gaston Bachelard gave new meaning and value into imagination which reason-based Western culture had underestimated. This study aims to explore the concept of material-imagination, and to examine applicable methods into design creativity. Material-imagination is rooted at the Four Elements of western culture, Bachelard explored his imagnation theories with respect to water, fire, earth, and air. Material-imagination is image not for form but for matter, it distinguishes from form-imagination based on visual appearance. Bachelard calls the directness of imagination activity as `culture complex``, which has to do with symbolic system of society. Folkmann addresses that creativity in design creates a specific connection of abstract concept and concrete view, wherein imagination is the interaction between consciousness and the exterior aspect of the material world. Material-imagination is evolved to dynamic imagination, and archetypical imagination. Image is the result of imagination, imagination is a energy for creativity. Bachelard`s imagination theories bring us explanation for extracting abstract concepts, theoretical base for subjective design methodologies, direction of culture design through culture complex, and connection with humanities. His theory has limitation of dependence with language, and subjectiveness. Material imagination could be applied as expansion of creativity activity, approach to form and matter, and tool for culture design in design education.

A Study On The Textile Pattern Design of Korean Fashion Clothing in the 1970s

ABSTRACT
This paper examines the trend of textile designs of Korean fashion published in the various magazines in the 1970s. Textile design patters are divided into 10 motives, 4 visualization techniques, 3 pattern sizes, and 4 pattern arrangements. The 10 motives are flowers, plants, animals, humans, ocean, transportations, accessories, industrial products, geometrical figures, and regalia such as numbers and symbols. The 4 visualization techniques are realistic, abstract, graphical, and abridged. The 3 pattern sizes are a pattern size larger than the one third of clothes, a pattern size between one tenth and one third of clothes, and a pattern size less than one tenth of clothes. The 4 pattern arrangements are systematic, unsystematic, mixed, and border. Results show that the most frequently watched design pattern in the 1970s is geometrical figures in graphical and systematic pattern with a pattern size less than on tenth of clothes.

ABSTRACT
I intend to examine various symbolic meanings appeared in Rimbaud`s poetry completed by power of imagination, provide an opportunity for self-reflection to modern people and seek various means of communication.
`Happiness` and `unhappiness` felt by poets gives inspiration to the creation of works and reborn by being fused with subjective imagination. Miserable appearance and tormented inner reflection of children soaked in virtual euphoria in miserable reality have been visualized. The forms appeared in the works of the researcher is not the reproduction of realistic subject but the symbolic form created by subjective imagination with the image of Rimbaud`s poetry as motif.
In the process of the establishment of the territory of an artist as visual designer who requires infinite imagination and creativeness, the poetic imagination of Rimbaud was assimilated in the heart of the researcher of a paper and gave an opportunity for the various visual expressions and self-reflection on the nature of human existence.
