ABSTRACT
The research is conducted to understand the possibility of applying the style of depaysment and deconstructive fashion through observing modern deconstructive fashion`s depaysment feature, and to examine the artistic meaning contained in deconstructive fashion. This study is held according to the designers latest three year Paris collection. First of all, from analyzing modern deconstructive fashion`s depaysment feature it was known that the distortion of objects shape had the characteristic of exaggerating a certain part of the body or destroying the shape of clothes. Second, combination of heterogeneous object was done by using materials that are not common for clothes and made the observers feel a sense of difference. Third, the object`s avant-garde was from composition of clothes, which made it to have the characteristic of expression of inability to restore its primary role. Lastly, the object`s absence had the characteristic of occluding a part of a body or removing composition of clothes. This research revealed the extensive utility of deconstructive fashion to propose art-philosophical interpretations and, from these, to provide basic information for the researchers of deconstructive fashion.

Anti-Aesthetics Expressed in Fashion-Focused on Bas Kosters` Fashion Activities-

ABSTRACT
The aim of this study is to examine the anti-aesthetics in fashion focused on Dutch fashion designer Bas Kosters, whose fashion activities is getting an attention as a young contemporary anti-fashion designer. The research covers theoretical study to understand and analogize the key characteristics of the anti-aesthetics such as resistance, expandability, participation, and introspection. For the case study, Bas Kosters` works were analyzed through his own web-site, collection reviews, public interviews, newspaper articles, and exhibition reviews after 2000 and fashion collections from 2010 to 2014 AW collection. As a result of the study, the anti-aesthetic features derived from Kosters` fashion activities were classified into five categories: the avant-garde of anti-fashion, expression of anti-formalism, territorial expandability, social symbolism, intrinsic nature of aesthetic experience. The concept of anti-aesthetics in fashion refuses fashion trends and old stereotyped fashion system regarding clothing as a communicative medium and the anti-fashion in formal aspects denies the conventional ideal beauty and breaks away from the normative formality. Exploring an organic relationship between the society and human beings, anti-fashion allows to across over various genres to open up a wider creativity and provides participatory aesthetic experience to both designers and audiences. Ultimately, anti-fashion is a manifestation of aesthetic cogitating on fashion by its characteristics of negation and resistance and it is a new way of life due to practical implication for discovering possibilities of living and changing our society.

Development Prototype of Low-end Mobile Phone Accessory Design for Hearing-impaired Person

ABSTRACT
In the sophisticated world we are living in today, numerous policies and solutions are provided for the impaired and underprivileged so that they can be treated as best as possible. Many efforts in various areas are happening for their comfortable and just social life. In the design industry, including universal design, a lot of research to develop designs that consider the socially weak. At this point, the following study will be focusing on the way to help the ones with hearing impairments to be able to communicate and cooperate with society by developing a low-end device. The methodology used was researching about the ideas developed beforehand and the way of communication which was emphasized in the background-theory, and analysis based on the products currently laid out in the present market. On this basis, creative communication and notification methods were achieved, and the requirements and structure of a low-hand device was investigated. Also, there was a survey conducted to the consumers to used the device in order to collect ideas. As a result, the device was constructed to have two main mechanisms that each receive and send RF signals, and the way of communication method was decided to be able to use in both smart phones and feature phones. For the convenience of use, the device was designed like a necklace. In the conclusion, the most effective way to conduct a survey toward the hearing-impaired suggested was using smart phones and sign language to ask the questions. Also a possible research covering the most appealing way to make sure that the process is aware of difficulties of the delivery of parts needed to produce a prototype occur, being eco-friendly, and the clock and GPS function was considered.

Modeling Process Development for Customized Woman Midsole Design based-on 3D Printing Technology - Focused on a women in her twenties with 235-240mm foot size-

ABSTRACT
This research aimed to propose modeling process development for customized woman midsole design based-on 3D Printing technology. To accomplish the objective, we suggested design factors of customized midsole, and presented the optimized foot size, process of midsole modeling. Also, using 3D printed midsole, we performed fit test. Necessary design factors of customized midsole were foot length, ball width and foot arch. Optimized foot size was derived by adding and subtracting based on foot length, ball width. we gave a spare space from end of foot length and subtracted the 6% on ball width. For increasing the comfort of midsole, we took a picture with inner/outer foot side surface and applied to modeling. In order to evaluate the validity of suggested process, we printed a midsole using 3D printer, and conducted usability test to the subjects. The subjects are three women in their 20s, who are wearing a Korean female average foot size of 235~240mm by using the simple random sampling method. Then, subjects stood on the customized midsole and we measured the peak and average plantar pressure, based on the left foot. As a result, the maximum value of peak pressure found on the heel regions. And the peak pressure of heel regions was slightly lower compared to subject`s normal midsole. This result showed that suggested customized midsole modeling process can reduce the high plantar pressure on the heel regions by redistributing the pressure. This finding can be used as a basis for further research of customized shoes making.

ABSTRACT
The boundary of interaction design has expanded from desktop environment, web-site, and mobile design to diverse objects in our everyday life. In order to provide UI patterns reflecting these changes and evolutions, collaborative and participatory UI pattern library needs to be developed. The goal of this research is to design a new UI pattern library based on the wiki platform, one of Web 2.0 systems. This library will be evolved constantly by diverse users` participations. To achieve the goal, this research reviews the original concept of pattern, the application cases of the concept of pattern in interaction researches, the concept of Web 2.0 and the characteristics of the wiki platform. The strategies to design the new UI patterns library, named ixpatterns.com, were drawn based on the reviews. The UI pattern library proposed by this research has open structure that enables users of the library to easily update UI patterns. Also, the IA (Information Architecture) was developed by considering user groups` needs. The ixpattern.com is expected to be a significant case in UI pattern libraries because of its application way of the concept of Web 2.0.

Influences of General Perceptions of Hospital Advertising and Message Appeal Type on Attitudes toward Individual Medical Clinic Advertising with a Particular Reference to Comparison of Medical Professionals with Consumers

ABSTRACT
As the media advertising for medical clinics is increasing, research is needed to develop both regulatory policy and strategic guideline for creative advertising strategy. This paper aims to delve into how medical professionals and general consumers differ in terms of their attitudes towards the medical clinic advertising. And, it also explores how they differ in their responses to different ad appeals: informational appeal vs. emotional appeal. A survey was conducted on medical doctors and general public, and the results are as follow. Both respondent groups prefer emotional advertising. The general attitudes towards the medical clinic advertising affect the attitudes towards the advertisement shown in the survey, while emotional advertising exerts more influences with more attitudinal effects on the side of the general public.

Content Analysis of Para-social Interaction Relationship, Blog User`s Evaluation and Intention of Utilizing the Ad Post on the Power Blogs

ABSTRACT
This study delves into the recently spot-lighted power blog`s contents and the usefulness of its advertising. It applied the theoretical concept of the relationships of para-social interaction with program characters to a web media, specifically, the blog media. Four measures are utilized in the study. Para-social interaction involvement is measured. The posted advertising creativity degree is measured. And, the content analysis of the posting in the power blogs was executed. This is a natural and unobtrusive tool to obtain the statistics this study intends to collect. Postings in three power blogs in NAVER were analysed and secondary analyses was carried out to look into the research objectives drawn in the paper. The results suggest that, rather than presenting the attributes of the sponsored products or services in the ad, user-beneficial and human-friendly advertising appeals with a sensible usage of ad environment are better off in drawing the blog user`s willingness to utilize the advertising in the blog media.

Optical illusion analysis in the opening titles of the film

ABSTRACT
With diversification of media, the modern society is under dominant influence of visual media. There is needlessly large volume of information presented by overflowing videos to users, and producers are looking for more effective methods of visual expression. Among such methods, illusion is an important visual element used in photographs and graphics, and it is actively used in videos to create visual tension. Accordingly, the aim of this study is to analyze how illusion is used in implicative opening titles of films and its meaning. Representative opening titles that used illusion since 1900s until present are selected and analyzed to discuss the relationship between delivery of visual information and use of illusion effect. A conclusion was drawn in this study that illusions used in opening titles of films sufficiently include the meaning intended to be delivered to users in terms of communication. With diverse use of illusion characteristics, they were found to be used as an extremely important element of opening titles, which implicatively express contents of films. This is because screen compositions using illusion play the role of delivering messages intended by producers to users instead of simply placing importance on beauty. A follow-up study is required to analyze illusions used in different visual media other than opening titles, satisfying the timely demand.

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study is to examine design and the design museums` role in culture and society. The primary emphasis will be a relationship between art and design in the twentieth century and to explore why and how design museums have shaped and been shaped by cultural and political knowledge in Europe and America (Anderson & Milbrandt, 2005; Bennett, 1995; Doordan, 1995; Hooper-Greenhill, 1992; Margolin, 2002; Morrison & Twyford, 1994; Woodham, 1997). The research question posed at the start of this study is: What are the best practices of the design museums as seen by selected stakeholders in relation to its: (a) collection strategies, (b) the function of social space, (c) public support and collaboration, and (d) the type of exhibition in culture and society? As a literature review the author investigates how to define design and design museums, history of design museums, and social theories of the design museum as social institutions. The methodological approach to this study is qualitative and uses grounded theory. The Design Museum in London, the Victoria & Albert Museum (National Museum of Art and Design of United Kingdom), the Vitra Design Museum in Germany served as the location for the collection of on-site data. The author conducted observation and in-depth interview for generating results design museums take on added importance when they consider the social and cultural functions they perform. Their goal is better to have exhibitions that expand the design community`s own knowledge and understanding of itself and that also speak to the general public about the role and value of design in their lives. The authors provide useful guidelines that can be applied in the actual execution of a national design museum in Korea for culturally and socially well reflected design organization.

In this paper, the philosophy and beliefs, activities and assessments of design leaders who performed a pivotal role in leading to a significant change in design history were revisited in terms of issue leadership in the macro level. The activities of these leaders were described through relating data, the relationship between such activities and three dimensions of issue leadership (issue creating, audience involving, issue implementation) was discussed. Specifically, Because of the design leaders have contributed decisively to form a contemporary design flow, they were considered to be the faithful in the activities of issue creating. Could find a trace of behavior of audience involving in the activities of the design leader behavior that they were actively involved in lectures, education, and work activities to spread the issue and to attract sympathizers. In addition, they were masters in issue implementation that they take advantage of the organization or system in order to practice aggressively the issues which they have presented. It was confirmed that the evolution of the design concept can be interpreted by issue leadership through these. Finally, suggested the fact that require assessment in the long-term in order to issue leadership in micro level that have been studied in organizational unit is expanded in macro level.
