Proposal for Smart Device Design of Preventing Proxy Examination by Fingerprint Authentification

ABSTRACT
Background Recently, as finding job is becoming harder and harder, various certificates and civil service examinations have become very popular. Cheating in examination is as common as the intensifying test competition. Also, while the cheating methods have become increasingly sophisticated, there is a lack of systems and methods to prevent them. Accordingly, this study aims to prevent exam cheating through precise identification based on the biometric authentification technology and to suggest a design proposal.
Methods Products and systems are defined by organizing problems and response plans for each stage of the testing and analysis of case studies, and organizing user experience scenarios according to response plans. The product concept and system are collected through the selection process, and the last selected product concept and environment are reconstructed from user experience design perspective to form the final product design and system.
Result Based on the phase-by-phase analysis of the testing process and responsive solutions for each phase, a platform for preventing cheating behaviors in examination is presented through analysing various test types and conditions. It proposes an efficient, reliable design and system based on smart pens and clouds with fingerprint authentication.
Conclusion The proxy examination prevention system proposed in this study would make sense as a prior study of not only the different types of tests, but also of all systems that require continuous user authentication, including practical tests. However, it is regrettable that we couldn't prove its value through prototyping in this study. In future studies, in-depth research will be carried out thorough experimental design and user testing.

The Influence in Negative Media Evaluation of Seoul Metropolis Brand Symbol upon Consumers' Perception and Attitude

ABSTRACT
Background The purpose of this study is to examine which influence the negative media evaluation such as internet media reports on the Seoul Metropolis brand symbol and as internet users' comments on this has upon consumers' perception.
Methods For this, the analytical materials in this study were utilized Seoul Metropolis symbolic mark, brand, symbol, character, slogan, brand and negative media Evaluation of Seoul Metropolis Brand Symbol. As for a survey on consumers' perception, there are totally 200 men and women who dwell in Seoul and capital area. The age group ranges from their 10s to their 50s. The questionnaire was conducted by an analytical tool for‘a perceptional survey on the Seoul Metropolis brand symbol' from the 3rd to the 14th of November in 2017. The pre-questionnaire was designed with a method of answering an item after only the city brand image is exposed. The post questionnaire was formed in order to answer an item after being disclosed the city brand image and the negative media evaluation relevant to it together. The questionnaire was composed of 4 open items along with the spheres of 'value, awareness and evaluation(totally 18 questions, Likert 5-point scale) for the Seoul Metropolis brand symbols, which were formed on the basis of the character recognition attitude realm in a previous research.
Result The Seoul Metropolis brand symbol was most greatly influenced by the negative media evaluation in the aspect of value. Especially, this tendency was indicated that teenage consumers respond sensitively compared to other age groups. This implies that the teenage users have big possibility in which the positive value attitude toward the existing city brand image will be changed negatively due to the impact of people's negative media evaluation. Also, the experience of purchasing a product on the city brand symbol played a role of giving a personal meaning and value to city brand, thereby having influenced the formation of positive recognition attitude in all the spheres such as 'value, awareness and evaluation' on city brand.
Conclusion This outcome is in line with previous theories as saying that the elements in emotional aspects like popularity, meaningfulness and internality are functioned more importantly than the visual factors such as form and color in the city brand design. Accordingly, the performance of city brand design will need to be significantly addressed the publicity strategy and the mediation evaluation monitoring concerning city brand products along with the visual aspects on the calculated results.

Development of child user research methods using co-experience concept

ABSTRACT
Background 'User Research' aims to explore users actual needs. It is an important step of the design process that needs to study various research methods to meet the needs of different users.
The research focuses on child user. Even though many researchers of UXD User Research argued to focus on child user, they did not put forward a complete user research process for child users. Therefore, it is necessary to develop child user research method so as to carry out child user experience researches more reasonably and effectively.
Methods It reviews UXD's traditional research methods through literature and analyzes the data concerning the concept of co-experience, emphasizes the necessity of the important co-experience for children and proposes the new research method for child user research. A new method is designed for child user and co-experiences are assumed to be very important. Then, actual tests are carried out.
Result Through research, it assumes that data collected from traditional child user research methods is not reliable and effective enough. And the validation step of co-experiencer is added. In other words, the research proposes the five steps of the child user investigation: 1. Introduction of investigation and ideology; 2. Demonstration and positioning of ideology; 3. Validation of co-experiencer; 4. Analysis of comprehensive information; 5. Presentation of research results. The method is applied in this research to find out whether it is good to identify the needs of child user. The test shows that the step of co-experiencer validation is necessary, as it improves the reliability of the research result.
Conclusion In order to carry out the child-centered user research, the paper utilizes the concept of co-experience according to Wang, Yafang's UXD user research method, and defines and implements the five stages of child user research. The paper puts forward an effective method to identify the user needs. Through test, it is proved that the concept of co-experience is an effective verification method for child user research process.
This research includes relatively few research samples. The researcher will further explore the research process and specific method for child users through empirical researches in the future.

ABSTRACT
Background The government has continued to carry on the project, but there have been several side effects. Recently, the government has carried out a new approach to urban regeneration to compensate for its problems. Therefore, this study is intended to present an effective direction for the project in the future by analyzing leading cases of urban regeneration.
Methods First, it is required to analyze cases concerning urban regeneration projects at home and abroad and to analyze the status of land in comparison. In addition, urban regeneration projects are analyzed in depth to derive success factors and analyze the design development processes using the processes.
Result The success factors derived from the site case study were 1) utilization of cultural assets, 2) field studies, and 3) the creation of a sustainable community.
Conclusion The study is significant in that it recognized the need for a new approach to urban regeneration and discussed the application of measures for effective urban regeneration planning. This discussion is consistent with the context of the Urban Regeneration New Deal, a major government policy, and is expected to contribute to improving the way in which cities are reproduced in the future.

ABSTRACT
Background Recent most outstanding phenomenon in modern society has been the convergence of traditional genres. The human body is reexamined as a direct means to live practical life which is developing from existing metaphysical thinking. I would like to present the possibility of a new contemporary art formative through the analysis of the present situation through fusion of art, fashion, architecture, and technology, through the mediated human body.
Methods Since it deals with the change of the perception of human body and the artistic reproduction of it, historical review of the relationship between body, architecture, culture, and fashion is to be preceded. In this paper, firstly I examine the historical background of contemporary art, which is changing from the visual perception to the multisensory experience. execution method. In addition, I investigated the current artists who showed hybrid conversion of fashion, art, architecture and technology to deconstruct the boundaries of classical art forms.
Result Marshall McLuhan has described a change in the relationship between the human being and the environment through media in the concept of "extended body." Recent developments in digital technology and media have shown the possibility that human body can be combined with a medium to become the subject of sense and action. Therefore, the limits of traditional human perception experience are constantly reevaluated and expanded, and research focusing more actively on the human environment. Including virtual space is deepening and focusing on the flexible body concept that is transformed accordingly.
Conclusion Paying close attention to the meaning of that future silhouette is not merely an outline of the body, but that it will serve as the boundary of the so-called interface between human spirit and outer space, dynamic transformation is expected to accelerate.

ABSTRACT
Background The style of modern wedding dress has not changed rapidly because of its conservative nature. However, the conventional aesthetic values are transformed due to the change in fashion trends, resulting in the production of creative and individualistic images. The purpose of this study is to add Korean beauty and develop a creative wedding dress with an inspiration from international wedding dress designers.
Methods Based on the previous research papers, domestic and foreign fashion magazines, books, and Internet site materials, this study is to examine the types and components of wedding dress designs and develop a unique wedding dress design, which has practice uses in modern days.
Result As a result of the production of the wedding dress, there is no doubt that contemporary wedding dress style will continue to change with the social change and standards of beauty and as humans will seek deeper meanings of beauty.
Conclusion It is vital that wedding dress designers realize the importance of individuality and the fulfillment of one’s desire and offer a new lifestyle rather than simply trying to meet the consumers’needs.

ABSTRACT
Background This study examines the concepts of modern art which has a great influence on the field of fashion, and shows the indispensable relationship between fashion and its influence on contemporary art designers through the movement of contemporary art.
Methods This study takes reference from research papers on art and fashion, domestic and foreign fashion magazines, professional books, online materials and pictures. In addition, it analyzes the influence of art history on contemporary fashion collections.
Result Modern art plays an important role in giving an inspiration to the contemporary fashion industry. Living in the 21st century where the boundaries of art and fashion itself are vague, one can see that fashion and art are inextricably linked. Moreover, modern art and fashion will continue to create active convergence and collaboration.
Conclusion The artworks that artists create reflect the culture and spirit of the time with various implications. They also contain the aesthetic values and cultures of modern societies, and we hope that this study will produce positive effects on contemporary art and fashion that can both be developed in a reciprocal manner.

A Study on Content Analysis of Service Design Utilization - Focused on News Articles of Korea and the U.K. -

ABSTRACT
Background Service design has grown rapidly over a short period of time as countries and businesses begin to recognize the importance of the ‘Making service from the economy', and its utilization categories are also becoming highly diverse. Consideration of user and human-centric values as a result of the development of the service is also being expressed across society, industry and the public sector. It is necessary to consider and study the actual phenomena in this process of change objectively, and to suggest implications for future developments. Therefore, this study aims to identify the utilization category of domestic service design by analyzing the contents of service design used in news articles that recorded the fact objectively, and to expand it with a comparison with British news articles.
Methods This study examines and compares the content of articles on the use of service design in the U.K. and Korea considered highly developed countries to explore the use of 'service design' in both industrial and public design areas. For analysis of the contents of the article, news articles were collected on the utilization of the service design from 2010 to 2016, when the service design started to be activated in Korea and in the United Kingdom. The contents of the service design use article were analyzed to extract the details of the use cases that are published in the report and the details of the application, approach, introduction, plans, and new processes according to the topic of news.
Result According to a local article, the utilization of service designs is relatively higher in industry than in public design. Frequency was also measured high in manufacturing and education sectors. In a qualitative comparison of the news content, the Korean articles tend to explain the importance of the final product itself, but the British articles show the importance of the use of the service design in its products.
Conclusion Among the sub-categories in the field of public design, articles on health, welfare and social participation are relatively more limited in the use of domestic service design. Consequently, it is necessary to develop a service design case in the field of public design. In addition, in case of considering domestic part, it is necessary to study the expanded role of the service design in making values and experiences, rather than focusing on a product, and how to communicate its usability.
