ABSTRACT
Background: This study attempts to develop the brand identity of the Jinju Jayu Market to create brand value and contribute to the revitalization of the local traditional market.
Methods Research of the traditional market and brand identity, in combination with a field survey of the market through observation, photography, and interviews. The market`s brand identity was developed based on these studies.
Result This study, focusing on the visual expressive factors, developed a brand identity, such as symbol mark, logo type, and logo. Symbol which was adapted calligraphy and modern design was developed. Logo type was designed with increasing readability and attractiveness. Lastly, logo combining symbol and logo type was suggested. The shopping baskets used in the new logo system were designed and produced for promotion. Designs of promotional gifts, packages, banners, and front sign designs were suggested for an integrated marketing strategy.
Conclusion Developing the brand identity of the Jinju Jayu Market will help in establishing a new identity of the traditional market, using local identity, and calligraphy.

A Study on Lower Body Measurement Changes of Men in Their 40s, 50s and 60s

ABSTRACT
Background This study is to provide basic information about the changes in the lower body measurements of men over 40 years old to raise the recognition and understanding of clothing manufactures to the extent where such information can be utilized in developing men`s pants patterns and designs. This is achieved by identifying changes in the lower body measurements of men in their 40s, 50s and 60s based on relevant direct measurements from the 4th, 5th and 6th Korean Human Body Measurement Investigation.
Methods The data analysis consists of 7 categories; height, breadth, depth, circumference, length, calculations and others, totaling 37 items. The data collected from the analysis has been statistically analyzed on the program SPSS WIN ver. 22.0. Technical statistics analysis, F-test and Duncan-test were conducted to identify differences and disparities between the investigation years and age groups.
Result The analysis of the changes in the lower body measurements of participants from each age group indicates that the measurements for height and length items, including the stature, as well as weight and BMI, decreased with age due to the aging process, while these measurements increased proportionally as the investigation year progressed. The hip circumference decreased with age, while waist and abdominal circumferences increased due to the concentrative accumulation of subcutaneous fat in the abdominal area. Thus, the hip gradually loses its firmness and becomes more flattened, and the legs get thinner with age.
Conclusion As the findings of this study identify physical features of each age group, they can be applied towards developing pants patterns for a higher level of fit and comfort.

ABSTRACT
Background In the past, the low-middle brightness recently begun to appear in various ash color brightness of famous fashion too. This study was coloring with the oxidant bleach mixed with bleached hair brightness and brightness changes according to the specific hair dye and evaluate the color and brightness changes accordingly.
Methods The four-piece production levels to match the straw bundles were fading level scale. The wella ash gray hair dye to hair brightness by 12 steps, each bundle of 6% and an oxidant in 1: 1 ratio were measured by applying dry after washing the color difference was allowed to stand 35 minutes.
Result As a result, first, through the brightness increase or decrease of red and yellow stars of the hair dye it may present a step-by-step indicator. Secondly, it can be seen that an increase of about red and yellow level becomes higher. Thirdly, step 12, step 14 of the hair dye is from 1: brightness mixed to when dyed is reduced by 1. Fourth, it is possible to represent the well-known degree to be necessary to use a mixing ratio of the presented oxidant for each company.
Conclusion This provides an indication of decolorization number and brightness of the representation performed in the field, it would be able to build a practical basis for discoloration of communication between the customer.

Emotion Evaluation Analysis on the Design of Air purifier for home

ABSTRACT
Background As the development of the industrial society made the air pollution to be on the rise as a serious environment problem issue, the modern interior design of buildings has been arranged to the form of an airtight space. Therefore, the necessity of an air purifier has been highly demanded by a lot of environmental troubles from the fine dust. Before 2000s, the air purifier was regarded as a luxury item, however, after 2000, as the concept of well-being, which pursues a better healthy life for humans, has spread broadly, the recognition of the concept of the air purifier has been converted to a daily necessity, thus the demand of it has been increased in households. For that reason, in this research paper, it is aimed at developing an indoor air purifier for household use, which would be suitably matched with the current indoor space in accordance with the improvement on the quality of the modern interior.
Methods In a brief view, it is established to set the aim, the method and the range of the research, moreover the investigation of the theoretical consideration for an air purifier, the internal and external market condition and the design classification were conducted. To figure out the recognition of the consumer, SD sensibility test and a step method for a value were conducted for the design analysis. The tests were subject to thirteen volunteers of both men and women. They were subject to six sections such as the form, the material, the color etc. and experimented on the comparison analysis with the seven steps SD Method(Semantic Difference Method) which were based on fifteen adjective words pairs related to formativeness, aesthetic and functionality.
Result As a consequence, for the section of the form in questionnaire, words of angulated, linear and normal were positively evaluated. For the material section, words of flexible and vulnerable were negatively evaluated and for the color section, words of matt, dark, dull and cool were positively evaluated. In addition, a step method for value selected fifteen relevant categories for the questionnaire in order to figure out the consumer`s specific mental state and recognition. The response of each category consisted of two groups: one group was made of single questions, which is for the elementary tendency of respondents, and the other group was composed of plural questions, which is for a variety of responses, so that it was possible to figure out the recognition of the volunteers. For the result, in the section of the form, the indicator of safety and balance was represented high. In the material section, the perception of both partial connection and entirety was strongly represented. In the color section, the coloration of a body, a button and an outlet represented the high degree. In addition, the fresh and dark colors were preferred on the whole.
Conclusion As for the contents concluded by the satisfaction factor for the design, since the stabilized forms and warm color tone which corresponds to the pure images are preferred for the air purifier design, it is possible that such factors would be recognized as significant design aspects for it later. In conclusion, the contents of evaluation analyzed by this research would be applied to the assessment items for the subsequent designed products. Additionally, based on the contents satisfying the design aspects, those analyzed contents would develop into the fundamental databases for designing the air purifier in the actual design process.

A Study on the basement parking lot sign system design for effective direction recognition at the public facility

ABSTRACT
Background A number of public facilities utilizing underground spaces have been increased with the rapid development of cities. Especially, increased car ownership has been a major factor of utilizing underground spaces. Therefore, sign design for underground areas to recognize direction effectively is being demanded these days. The study will focus primarily on an artistic design to design underground parking signs. It might helpful to build safe environments for people and cars in underground spaces and to create more beautiful and comfortable environments reflecting characteristics of the space.
Methods After checking the status of sign designs in underground parking lots with a reference to the precedent study, we would like to find an improvement direction of the sign design for the underground parking lot by analyzing the status of characters, colors, and pictograms of underground parking signs.
Result The study would provide the direction on sign design guideline that demands effective way to recognize directions and to identify the risks in underground parking lots.
Conclusion The study suggests the direction on sign design guideline to make more safe and comfortable environments in underground parking lots. Building parking lot in underground areas makes worse environment since it makes the environment to be disconnected from nature. We would like to expect this study will effect on improving the environment of underground areas for effectively recognizing directions and making more information about underground parking lots to be provided to people easily. Also, we hope the sign design to be an important part for changing the underground spaces to lively environments.

Wedding Dress Design based on Body Type

ABSTRACT
Background Since the standardized aesthetic values have changed, the modern wedding dress style varies based on different body types. The purpose of this study is to develop creative designs for different body types.
Methods Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator were used for the design of wedding dresses. The body types were categorized into five different groups and the study focuses on the particular styles of wedding dresses that fit different body types along with the ones that should be avoided. (Refer to “work (I~V)”)
Result 1. For the pear-shaped body type, the design that gave a glamorous look on the top part of the body was used and the “A” line dress was able to cover the thick bottom part of the body.
2. For the inverted triangular-shaped body type, the design that gave a little volume on the bottom part of the body was used and the simple bell line design was able to lure attention to this bottom part.
3. For the rectangular-shaped body type, the design that gave the “princess” line was used to give emphasis on the chest, hips, and the waist line.
4. For the hourglass-shaped body type, the “mermaid” design was used to give emphasis on the top part of the body, especially on the shoulder area.
5. For the round-shape body type, the shoulder pads were used to give an overall balance between the top and bottom parts of the body.
Conclusion With the study of ideal body types and designs, there needs to be development of creative design for different types of wedding dress to give a positive look for each body type.

Development of Tight-Fitting One Piece Prototype Pattern - Focused on women in their 20`s who wear a C cup -

ABSTRACT
Background This study is aimed at developing tight-fitting one piece prototype pattern for ready-made clothes in consideration of the characteristic of body type of women in their twenties who wear a C cup that has recently increased with westernized body type, and utilizing it as reference pattern design of various one piece items.
Methods First, based on the 3D body scan data done by the 6th Size Korea(2010), 208 women in their 20s were analyzed. The collected data were carried out by using SPSS 2.0.
Result To verify tight-fitting shape one piece prototype design pattern, it was virtually fitted onto both the CLO 3D avatar and the actual 3D human body. This 3D human body, construction line, ease and fit were proper but it was fitted worse than standard human body owing to asymmetric nature and posture factor of the human body. However, it was thought to be caused by characteristics of the human body, and thus it was deemed available as tight-fitting shape ready-made clothes for C cup body type and A cup body type.
Conclusion In this study, tight-fitting shape one piece prototype pattern was designed for women who wear a C cup. This pattern involves a limitation that it may not be compared with actual fitting due to fitting test through virtual fitting instead of actual fitting. Therefore, further studies are required to be made for developing a grading rule in order to see fit even in a tall avatar that is generally used in virtual fitting.
