Abstract
Background This study examines the impact of rapid digital technology advancements, particularly the rise of the metaverse, on modern urban regeneration strategies. The aim is to understand how the metaverse can provide a new dimension to urban regeneration and explore its potential as a critical element in sustainable urban development. The study assesses whether the metaverse can establish itself as a new paradigm in contemporary urban regeneration.
Methods The research employs a combination of literature review, case studies, and analytical simulations to evaluate the feasibility of applying the metaverse in urban regeneration. The literature review illuminates the development of metaverse technology and its current applications, while the case studies analyze real-world applications of the metaverse in urban regeneration projects. Simulations are used to construct urban regeneration scenarios using the metaverse, assessing their effectiveness and potential challenges.
Result The findings indicate that the metaverse contributes to enhancing the efficacy of urban regeneration projects through virtual tours, the restoration of historical and cultural heritage, and more. It proves useful in simulating various urban regeneration scenarios, aiding in the formulation of more accurate and effective regeneration plans. Additionally, the metaverse fosters community engagement and increases the acceptance of urban regeneration projects.
Conclusion The metaverse holds the potential to become a new paradigm in urban regeneration. However, its broader application is accompanied by technological barriers and accessibility issues. Therefore, further research and strategy development are necessary to overcome these challenges and fully leverage the metaverse's potential. This study highlights the metaverse's capability to offer innovative solutions in the field of urban regeneration.

Abstract
Background Advances in AI have made digital humans usable in a variety of industries. AI digital humans have come to serve as interfaces for using digital devices. AI Digital Human Interface aims to explore the user experience design direction of rapidly developing and changing interfaces through user experience research transformed by interactive interaction.
Methods In the financial sector, AI digital humans are being used in information kiosks and workplace digital desks. To study interactive, interaction-oriented interfaces, we categorize affordances by emotional design stage into sensory, cognitive, functional, and emotional affordances, and identify user experience factors that affect satisfaction.
Result In this study, we investigated the satisfaction of AI bankers by considering sensory, cognitive, cognitive-functional, and emotional affordances. Sensory affordances included convenience and meaningfulness, cognitive affordances included reliability and enjoyment, cognitive-functional affordances included convenience and meaningfulness, and emotional affordances included usability and meaningfulness. We observed that across AI banker services, satisfaction was mainly influenced by convenience and meaningfulness.
Conclusion The sensory affordances of an AI digital human interface are more about how comfortable the digital human is than how it looks. Cognitive and functional affordances are about how to resolve device errors and protect privacy. In addition, screens should be personalized to the user's age, gender, digital device proficiency, and disability. Interface changes for emotional affordances are positive, but we need to be creative and fluid in our design thinking to find and solve problems as they arise.

Abstract
Background The home appliance market has recently experienced significant growth, largely driven by the millennial generation. This demographic’s quest for a balanced work-life dynamic has spurred increased interest in home appliances. While extensive research exists on millennial consumers in general, there remains a notable gap in understanding their specific behaviors and attitudes towards purchasing home appliances, particularly in the context of household management. This study aims to delve deeply into the millennial generation's household management behaviors, focusing on their usage patterns and decision-making processes when acquiring home appliances.
Methods Given the scarcity of research on usage behavior and purchasing patterns related to household appliances, this study employs a qualitative approach. Participants were selected based on their birth year, experience in purchasing household appliances, and the quantity of appliances they acquired. Through in-depth interviews with 30 individuals, we sought to unravel the intricacies of the millennial generation's household appliance purchasing process. The data was analyzed using a grounded theory framework.
Results This study revealed that millennials exhibit distinct approaches to purchasing home appliances, influenced by their involvement in household management. Participants were grouped based on their levels of household management, and their responses were analyzed to construct a paradigm model. A key characteristic of millennials is their desire to minimize effort in mundane tasks. This is evident in the appliance choices of those with lower household management levels, where factors like technological features, cost, design, and brand loyalty are pivotal. The information search process among millennials is both hedonic and proactive, often guided by peer recommendations and familial experiences. Positive post-purchase experiences include efficient time management, technological engagement, and improved hygiene standards. Conversely, negative experiences often relate to dissatisfaction with after-sales service and functionality discrepancies. Responses to these experiences range from partial replacements to seeking alternative products.
Conclusion This study sheds light on several aspects: First, millennials often perceive household management as a burden, influencing their expectations from home appliances, especially regarding AI technology for self-diagnosis, automation, and hygiene. Second, those with lower household management standards prefer collecting and comparing diverse information sources for convenience features. In contrast, those with higher household management standards, demonstrating greater self-efficacy, tend to rely on abbreviated comparisons. Limitations of this study include the lack of consideration for the COVID-19 pandemic's impact, as the research was conducted pre-outbreak and the absence of a generational and household-type comparative analysis.
